captain was super friendly. took us to spots full of fish. had a 6 hrs trip and caught close to 50 fish of 7 different types if not more. overall 5 star performance of the captain. highly recommended.

Captain Weston may not be the oldest captain in the fleet, but growing up in St. Petersburg makes him as experienced as a 20-year veteran. He was highly knowledgeable about the annual movements of the fish we were targeting and all of the food and nutrients that determine where our catches were and what they were feeding on. He was calling the shots on where to cast and could almost count down the second we were going to get our bites. If you are going to go on a charter with Captain Weston (which I highly recommend), call him a day or two in advance to talk about what the tide is going to be like on the day of your trip to plan the best time to maximize your catch.

Captain Wes was fantastic. Put us on Fish. We had a great time. I saved his number for my next trip down to Tampa Bay!!

Went on a half day fishing trip with Captain Weston starting early in the morning. He took us to several spots throughout Tampa Bay where we caught Snook, Redfish, Trout, and a couple other species. He had a full live well full of fresh bait he had caught early that morning right when we arrived. He got us onto fishing spots extremely quickly, was willing to bait our hooks, unhook fish, untangle lines, give us casting tips, and anything else we wanted to make it an easy and fun experience. I have been on numerous fishing charters throughout Florida and have never caught anywhere near as many fish as I did with Captain Weston. He truly knows fishing, Tampa Bay, and how to handle a charter trip extremely well. I highly recommend Captain Weston's charter for a productive and fun day of fishing.

Scheduled a last minute trip with Captain Weston due to another boat canceling with engine problems. Captain Weston and his assistant Jake took good care of us. Visited several different sites looking for the active bite Picked up a few random fish when Jake spotted an active school of Crevalle Jack feeding in the distance. After zooming over there my 14 year old daughter and I were doubled up on two 15+ pounders that took 20 minutes to land. After taking pictures, we were doubled up again where I landed the 16 pounder pictured. The great day was capped by the drive in where the Captain spotted dolphins and deliberately increased his wake which drew the dolphins in to play and jump in the boats wake. Thanks Weston and Jake for a great day!

Captain Ulrich was great! Knew the waters and kept us busy reeling in the fish! He was great with our three sons, he was interactive and brought a great vibe to the experience. We look forward to fishing with him again!

We had a great time out with Weston! Definitely a pro, he had us on the fish immediately and he was great with my 11 and 12 year old boys. We caught snook, red snapper and jacks. Got to see some dolphins up close and personal and at the recommendation of Weston, ate at a nearby restaurant afterwards that turned our snapper into delicious fish tacos about 15 minutes after he’d cleaned them. Would definitely go with him again. He was awesome!

It was my son's twelfth birthday and since he loves fishing, we booked a charter with Captain Weston. My son, Joshua, and his friends absolutely had a blast! They could not stop talking about their fantastic experience. Captain Weston was extremely helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Not only did they reel in lots of snook, trout, and ladyfish, but Captain Weston provided them with tips and taught them how to become better fisherman. He is definitely the best captain in town and is wonderful with children! We will definitely be booking another charter with Captain Weston! We highly recommend him!

Westin puts in a lot of effort to find and put you in the fish. The first trip was slow but he changed positions often and put me in a lot of snapper catching my limit for dinner. Second trip was with a much less experienced angler. Westin was helpful and provided much needed assistance. Finding tarpon in a small bay was fantastic on light tackle, don’t worry Westin, I won’t tell your secret spot. Very friendly, hard working and a fourth generation local. You cannot go wrong booking a trip with him.

I was gifted a 3/4 day charter with Captain west for my birthday and it did not disappoint. Before the trip I told him I wanted a PB red and he assured me he’d make it happen. Sure enough he knew right where all the big reds were and helped me land my new PB 36” redfish. I’ve had many charters with Captain West and he has helped me land all of my biggest fish and has also helped teach me to become a better Angler. Whether you have a lot of experience or no experience at all I highly recommend Westward Charters if you’re wanting to have a fishing trip you’ll remember.
