Let Grand Holiday Tours create an unforgettable atmosphere of coastal fishing in the water of the Atlantic Ocean near island Madeira. The highly experienced crew specializes in different types of techniques: light tackle, bottom fishing, jigging, heavy tackle, trolling, and was a repeated participant.

The adventure starts aboard the 27’ Jeanneau Merry Fisher motor yacht, fully rigged with the best fishing tackle and electronics around. The boat is equipped with the battle station, outriggers, Shimano reels from 50 lbs to 130 lbs for trolling, Daiwa and Shimano electronic reels for jigging and bottom fishing. As well as the GPS system and fishfinder give the higher chances for success to get the biggest catch.

Their BZU motor yacht was built in 2010 and was equipped exactly for ocean fishing in 2014. Powered by a Nanni Diesel 200 HP engine, this vessel saves your time getting out to the best spots for fishing with a speed of 22 knots.

There is all the equipment offered for the catch of your dreams in the boat, you can expect the species like Wahoo, Tuna, Marlin, Barracuda, Grouper, Amberjack, and many others. The crew of the yacht gladly will proceed with the cleaning and the filleting the fresh fish to take away with you and share the best recipes for each. As an extra option, they can make plans and prepare your catch by one of the best restaurants in the marina.

If you're looking for the perfect sea fishing experience on Madeira, book with Captain Alex and his fantastic partner Lucie. From the moment we boarded their spotless, well-equipped boat, everything felt professional and welcoming. Alex is an outstanding captain – knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about the local waters. He tailored the trip perfectly to our group, sharing expert tips and ensuring a safe, enjoyable day out. Lucie made it even better with her warm hospitality: keeping us refreshed with drinks and snacks, and sharing great stories about the island. Together, they're a brilliant team – friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. The views of Madeira's dramatic coastline from the water were breathtaking, and the whole trip ran smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend Captain Alex and Lucie – easily the highlight of our holiday! Five stars and already planning to come back. Thank you both!

A great experience!

Half day Mixed Fishing Trip Pm on August 5, 2025 • 2 adults

We had a wonderful afternoon with Captain Alex and his wife Lucy. As absolute beginners without experience, the two have explained and shown us everything with a lot of patience and passion. We also learned a lot about Madeira and the local conditions. When fishing we caught a large number of Red Snappers and also two trigger fish, puffer fish etc. On the return trip to the harbor we could still observe a large number of dolphins, which have pulled their way directly in front of and under the boat. All in all a perfect afternoon. 100% recommendation, we will definitely come back if we are in Madeira again. Thank you both!

Half Day Mixed Fishing Trip Am on November 11, 2025 • 4 adults

We had the most amazing day! Everything was amazing. Brought home 10 snapper and 6 trigger fish + many others we threw back. 1 little octopus too. The guiding service was amazing, and their energy and hospitality matched it. From the first communication through to landing back at the marina all was flawless. We did a half day trip with mixed trolling and bottom fishing. What a treat to fish with Shimano Stella reels too. Thank you so much for a phenomenal day. Will definitely do again the next time we are on Madeira.

Even though we accidentally brought a banana on board, our catch was very successful! We caught over a dozen fish of various species. Our son had a wonderful introduction to the world of fishing, and Alex and Lucy made sure everything was perfect. Thank you, and we wish you many more wonderful catches to the tunes of Ozzy Osbourne.

Perfect Day

Big game Fishing 4 hours AM on July 9, 2025 • 2 adults

We had a fantastic experience today big game fishing in Madeira with Alex and his wife Lucy. Even though we unfortunately didn't catch any fish, the trip was still an absolute highlight! Every day is fishing, but not every day is catching. The organization was excellent, and Alex and Lucy welcomed us warmly from the start and took great care of us. Their expertise and passion for angling really enriched the day. The atmosphere on board was relaxed and friendly - we both felt very comfortable. The small snacks that were served were very tasty, plus there was a variety of drinks that quenched our thirst and kept our spirits high. Even though we didn't land any fish, the entire experience was more than amazing - we even extended our trip by 2 hours during the charter. Madeira's breathtaking scenery and the opportunity to experience the ocean up close make every moment valuable. During the trip we saw flying fish right next to the boat - simply incredible and unique. We were also able to spot dolphins. We can warmly recommend this charter and are already looking forward to next time - we will definitely participate again! A big thank you to Alex and Lucy for an unforgettable experience! 🐟🌊✨
