Your journey begins on a 29’ Benatau Antares saltwater fishing boat. It’s powered by a twin 200 HP Volvo Penta engine and can sit up to 4 guests. Its navigation system is comprised of all the modern GPS, fishfinder, radio, as well as radar technology. The various onboard facilities are comfortable and include a flybridge, kitchen, toilet, shower, and beds. The boat also well-equipped for fishing. There are outriggers, downriggers, spearfishing gear, a fighting chair, and livewell. You can also use the refrigerator and ice-box. In case you need any help, there will be a first mate to address your needs.
There’s a great variety of fish to catch in Calheta. To mention just some of the species, you can go after Marlin, Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Trevally, and Snapper. Using both light and heavy tackle, you and the skipper will catch them by bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, as well as drift fishing. We had an amazing day on the water! We caught two fantastic fish—a large wahoo and a beautiful mahi-mahi (dorado). We also had another strike, probably from a tuna, but unfortunately we couldn't land it. Neil and Mick were both incredibly friendly, professional, and hardworking. They did everything they could to make sure we had a great experience and put us on the fish. (Mike's briefing before we left the marina was first-class. He clearly explained everything, demonstrating outstanding knowledge, experience, and professionalism). I will definitely book another trip on the Flipper II. Highly recommended!

Absolutely terrific day out on the water! 🎣 Skippers Micky and Neil were both incredibly friendly and an absolute pleasure to spend the day out on the water with. My wife and I were stoked to catch our first ever Mahi Mahi at the same time, along with multiple tuna throughout the day! Unfortunately, we missed out on a nice Wahoo, but that’s fishing! 😂 Overall, we couldn’t recommend these guys highly enough. If we had more days available, I would have definitely booked another charter! 🤙

I would absolutely book another charter with this Skipper. She promptly answered all messages and provided updated recommendations to improve my chances of catching the trophy fish I was looking for before the trip. During the trip, she provided insights about the island and its local culture and also gave me some good information I could use for the next time I booked a charter on the island. While I did not catch any fishes on my charter. I'm planning on coming back to the island for another try at catching my trophy fish. When I do, Skipper Mick will be my first choice for a charter.

Did a half day with some trolling and bottom fishing with captain Neil and Micky. Got Mahi on the line but he shook free. Caught some trigger and dorado for lunch. Crew was great with my boys, if you can get on their boat (very busy schedule), I'd highly recommend them! Sorry again to Steve, my son caught him with a hook😬

Mick et son mari étaient géniaux. Ils nous ont directement mis à l'aise et malgré que nous n'ayons pas attrapé de gros poissons, nous avons passé un super moment. Nous avons pu repartir avec nos plus belles prises et les avons fait préparer par le restaurant juste en face de la marina 👌🏼 Nous recommencerons sans hésiter !
