Join Avimar Fishing Co for offshore sport fishing targeting many exciting fish species. Captain Andres Bustamante has got over two decades of experience fishing off the coast of Miami. He and his crew are relentless in the effort of putting guests on the fish and will burn fuel and spend the extra time if necessary. Tight lines to all!
Your trip will start on a restored 30’ Baja Cruiser King Cat 296 offshore sport fishing boat. It can sit up to 5 guests and runs on a twin 225 HP Mercury engine. The onboard navigation equipment includes GPS, a fishfinder, USCG safety equipment EPIRB Global FIX V4, and a radio. The boat’s got a toilet, downrigger planers, livewell, and an ice-box. A first mate will also be there to address all your needs during the trip.
Miami’s nearshore and offshore waters will offer you a bunch of excellent fish species to catch. To name just a few, there’s Wahoo, Blue Marlin, King Mackerel, Cobia, Grouper, and Mahi Mahi. The techniques you can use to catch them also vary greatly. Using light and heavy tackle, you and the captain can bottom fish, deep sea fish, troll, spin, jig, as well as drift and kite fish. You can keep all the fish you catch if you want so and kids are also welcome to join the trip.
For the trip, you’ll only need to bring some food as Captain Andres covers you for everything else, including rods, reels, tackle, live bait, lures, drinks, and fishing licenses. Also, he’ll clean and fillet your fish so it’s ready for cooking when you return home.

Half Day Offshore Fishing (AM)
Great Experience!
My two sons and I (17 and 10) booked a half day with Capt. Andy. The weather didn’t fully cooperate with us in the beginning but calmed down as the day went on. We got a couple bites in the beginning trolling but couldn’t get them to the boat. We switched to kite fishing and immediately hooked into a sailfish. My 17 year old son fought this fish for 45 minutes before it finally gave up. It was a blast to watch for me so I know he had a great time! Even when the bite was slow or non existent Capt. Andy never gave up. He continued to try his best to put us on some fish. He even extended the trip to give us more time to find fish. It really seems like Capt. Andy is in it for the fishing. I never once felt like it about making money for him, which is great because it really felt like going fishing with a couple buddies just looking to have a good time! If we come back to Miami for vacation I would definitely book with Capt. Andy again!

Great trip with great guys
We spend a half day aboard the Avimar and had not only some great fishing but one of the best experiences we've ever had on the water. Capt. Andy and his mate Albert were clearly great anglers and fantastic to talk to as we waited for our next bite. We caught plenty of fish to eat and he even put us on our first sailfish ever. A trip with captain Andy aboard Avimar is definitely money well spent.

Incredible experience with great success
This was by far the best experience, I couldn’t have asked for better. Andres and his first mate Justin made this experience fantastic, they really know what they are doing. We caught some wahoos, several mahi and several tuna. If you are looking for a successful trip with lots of fun, pick captain Andres!!

Amazing trip with kids
Captain Andy was the best! He went out of His way to make sure we caught fish even though the day was overall slow for fishing. We caught Wahoo and Mahi! He also called a local restaurant to coordinate them cooking the fish for us afterwards! Truly an experience to remember!
