You’ll be fishing from a 17’ Carolina Skiff bass boat that can carry up to 3 adults or or 2 adults and 2 children. It uses a 175 HP Evinrude engine, all the modern GPS and fishfinder technology for safe and efficient navigation, and has got a livewell and an ice-box.
Captain Ricky a freshwater enthusiast and he’ll share this passion with you and your companions. Some of the lovely predator species you’ll target include Largemouth, Peacock, and Hybrid Bass, as well as the elusive Clown Knife Fish and the South Florida Bullseye Snakehead. You’ll catch them by trolling on both heavy and light tackle and you’re free to take your catch home if you want to. Kids are more than welcome to join aboard, so do bring them as well.
Captain Ricky covers you for all the rods, reels, tackle, lures, live bait, and even drinks, so you’ll only need to bring your fishing licenses and your favorite food.

Great day out with Captain Ricky. The day was set up for my 14 year old son, and he had a great day. The two of them sounded like long time fishing buddies, and my son gained a ton of new knowledge. Captain Ricky was very experienced and prepared for our trip. He had us catching fish within the first 10 minutes of boarding his boat. His knowledge of the lake and canals was impressive and you could tell he was really devoted to providing us with a great experience . Thank you Captain, we’ll definitely see you next year.

2 Hour – Quick Peacock/Exotic (AM) on April 29, 2025
We had a different guide “king of the glades” who was supposed to take us this morning who canceled 1hr before we were supposed to go out. I reached out to Ricky explained everything and he got a babysitter and came as fast as he could. We missed the morning bite and threw artificial and still caught fish. He knows his waters and where the fish are. His boats great comfortably fished 3 adults. His rods and tackle are top notch, he was a great guy/captain, super fun to be with. 100% recommend him to anyone looking.

8 Hour – Peacock/Exotic Round Up on January 17, 2025
Group of 5 had a great time with Captain Ricky and Captain Rich. Both Captains were prepared, friendly, knowledgeable and worked hard to get and keep us on fish. We caught 6 clown knife fish and multiple largemouth bass and striped bass. We were hoping for some peacock bass but it was colder and rainy so the weather wasn't cooperating. We still had a great time and I would recommend either Captain to anyone wanting their best chance at catching fish.
Group of 5 had a great time with Captain Ricky and Captain Rich. Both Captains were prepared, friendly, knowledgeable and worked hard to get and keep us on fish. Booked the trip on the app for Mom and I. Captain Ricky reached out ahead and recommended moving our meet up time since the fishing would be better. We met him at the place he set and headed out. Very professional and attentive. Mom crushed it with all the lunkers for the day and is still talking about it. He knew every species landed. We had an amazing time and would recommend Captain Ricky to anyone!

6 Hour–Peacock/Exotic Roundup (7AM) on September 20, 2024
My wife and I went out with Captain Ricky this morning and had a Clown Knife in the boat within 10 minutes of arriving. Then he put us on the Peacocks and I literally lost count of the fish. I know we caught at least 25 Peacocks. We also caught: 2 Cichlad, 10 Largemouth, 2 Bluegill, 1 Catfish, and a Talapia. It was an insane morning. It obviously wasn’t luck either. Ricky would say “hey I want you to throw here” and like magic a fish would hit! Live bait, cold water, and conversation never ran out! I can’t recommend this trip enough!
