Mister Sportfishing is based out of the famous Oak Orchard River and will show you how to fish these waters like a pro!
Capt. Jon is here to get you on the trophy fish you've been dreaming about and to make sure you have a blast! On this charter you'll be trolling to get those big bites. As part of the 6 to 8-hour trips, you can target Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and King Salmon, depending on the current season and weather conditions.
From June to September Mister Sportfishing's primary location is the Oak Orchard River. For the months of April and May we run trips targeting Brown Trout and spring Salmon out of Olcott, NY. We come back to the Oak Orchard River for the remainder of the season; June–Sept.
Your fishing adventure with Capt. Jon starts on a 33’ Trojan International that can safely take up to 6 anglers. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what matters most: fishing! Don't forget to buy your NY fishing license before the trip.
You'll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip. We welcome clients of all ages aboard the 10m Trojan International, please let us know of any special circumstances and we would be happy to accommodate.

Captain recommended we leave earlier to get better early bites and boy did it pay off. Glad he asked and made that call. We had a very enjoyable time out on the water and had perfect weather. Highly recommend for anyone bere reading the reviews. We brought a small cooler with light snacks and drinks. If keeping fish dont forget a cooler for that. we ended up needing more ice but the Captain pointed us to a cool bait shop down the road which was cool to check out.

Four of us traveled to fish again and we had a fabulous day! We all caught our limit of king salmon and steelhead early! Captain was so friendly and helpful and knowledgable. this was our second trip and we plan to fish again next year. We all highly recommend this .

Had a wonderful trip with two of my 12 year old grandsons and their fathers! We traveled from Ohio and I was worried that the weather or fish wouldn’t cooperate. Turned out to be a beautiful day on the water. Capt Jon worked hard to put us on some nice Kings and Steelhead. He was great with the boys, providing thoughtful guidance on how to catch and handle the fish. We limited out and had a load of fish to bring home. Would definitely charter with Mister Sportfishing again!

- First mate (While we do not expect to be tipped for our services, some customers prefer to provide tips to our captain and first mate. General tip amounts are one additional hour of services, however this can vary. Any tips and/or gratuities are greatly appreciated! )

These guys know all about fishing and can't wait to share an adventure with you. Mister Sportfishing is captained by Jonathan Forder, providing a safe and fun day of fishing. Your trip will take place on a Trojan 10m International, which is up to date with everything you will need for a great day of fishing. We recommend clients dress for the weather and bring drinks and snacks in a small cooler for the day. All fish caught and kept will be filleted and bagged for you by Captain Jon at the end of your trip. Captain Jon will share knowledge of the lake and educational tips on how to catch all species of fish with you during your day out on the Mister. Captain Jon is an avid tournament competitor with numerous wins and top placing tournaments on Lake Ontario's southern shore. There are limited dates available for clients who are interested in getting in on the tournament action; feel free to ask Captain Jon for more info! We look forward to fishing with you soon!
