Fireline Fishing Charters
Fireline Fishing is an inshore, river, and lake fishing guide service based out of Washington North Carolina that targets different species of fish all over eastern NC. When, where, and what species you'll target will depend on many factors, but you and Captain Caylin Burrell will try and chase them at prime times of the year.
From Striped Bass during the spring spawn in the Roanoke River to Big Red Drum in the Pamlico Sound during the Fall, you'll have a great chance to return with a fine catch. Fireline Fishing's an insured, professional, and family-oriented guide service dedicated to making your fishing experience the best it possibly can. Whether you're a first-time novice or an experienced angler, Fireline Fishing has a trip for you.
Your journey will start on a restored 22' Privateer Bay boat. It can sit up to 4 guests and runs on a 135 HP Mercury Outboard that can reach a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots. The boat uses modern GPS and fish finder technology to safely and quickly take you to the fish, a wireless trolling motor for a tactful approach to the fish, and also a live well to supply you with live bait.
Some of the species you can chase include, Spotted Seatrout, Bluefish, Red Drum, Black Drum Sheeps Head, Striped Bass and more. You'll catch them by bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, popping corks, artificial and live bait as well as fly and drift fishing. Kids are welcome to join the trip and you're free to keep the fish you catch within regulations.
Captain Caylin will provide you with all the Bait and Tackle you'll need for the trip and will also clean and fillet your catch. The only thing you should bring is a valid fishing license and small cooler for drinks and snacks. If you'd like to fly fish, then you'll need to bring your own gear.

Had a good trip would have like to have caught more fish. Captain tried

thanks for coming out
We had a great day on the water caught a lot of different types of fish. Captain Caylin was knowledgeable and was great working with my son. I would definitely book again.

was a pleasure having you all aboard. your son was great and will be an amazing fisherman! looking forward to the next trip.
Overall we have had better experiences. Our first reservation was cancelled 2 weeks before our trip from quite a distance. We booked another boat and captain that was more expensive and longer excursion. We caught some bait fish at the beginning but caught no fish in 6 hours. We didn’t know if we used the wrong bait or wrong spots. For the price we felt like some kind of discount was probably realistic for catching no fish. Also, the captain only took cash or Venmo which fortunately I had although the site said we could use Visa or Mastercard. It was very disappointing for my teenage son who had been looking forward to this trip for months!

first let me say thanks for the opportunity and im sorry it worked out the way it did. however i think some context is important here. I recommended we fish a different area. I expressed my concern on where you wanted to go out of and that it would be tough. you didn’t want to drive the additional 30 min. by boat it would have been an hour. i was on time, ready with a clean boat. the trip turned out exactly as I expressed it would even with my best effort. east wind low tide water temp 86 dirty water.
Captain was amazing , very knowledgeable. Great boat and equipment . Wonderful time and highly recommend .
booked a half day trip with captain caylin as a birthday gift and everyone absolutely loved it. he was very down to earth and made the whole trip enjoyable. additionally, prior to the trip - captain caylin was very easy reach out to with questions which was much appreciated.

Thank you so much for fishing with me. It was a pleasure having you on the boat and catching some nice fish.
Being in the outdoors has always been a passion of Captain Caylin. From a kid fishing the rivers and tributaries of Virginia and North Carolina with his dad, he came to be a fishing guide. He's developed a love for the pursuit of that 'Big One' that stories are made of. While the catch is always an important bonus, the time spent with family and friends making memories, laughing, and enjoying time away from the world is what it's all about. The captain became a fishing guide 10 years ago to help people achieve just that. There's something magical about watching the sunrise over a fog-covered stream, river, or lake that makes a person feel alive.
