- Background
- Being in the outdoors has always been a passion of Captain Caylin. From a kid fishing the rivers and tributaries of Virginia and North Carolina with his dad, he came to be a fishing guide. He's developed a love for the pursuit of that "Big One" that stories are made of. While the catch is always an important bonus, the time spent with family and friends making memories, laughing, and enjoying time away from the world is what it's all about. The captain became a fishing guide 10 years ago to help people achieve just that. There's something magical about watching the sunrise over a fog-covered stream, river, or lake that makes a person feel alive.
- Techniques
- Captain Caylin uses many different techniques depending on what species are being targeted and the time of year. His preferred methods are those that are more action-based. He uses casting artificial baits such as jigging soft plastics, crank baits, swim baits, top water, popping corks, trolling, and more, but also does drifting and bottom fishing live bait such as Shad, shrimp and mullet. Whether you're an experienced angler or a novice fisherman, the captain's goal is to teach techniques that will make you a pro when you leave.
