Turtlehead Charters Crystal River 

This trip was all about getting my 16 year old son his first Tarpon. 2-3 hours in we had hooked 3 and he brought a 70-80lber in. Unbelievable experience, wouldnt trade it for anything. Captain is excellent!

When you go fishing, you really want to create a memory. Captain Frank gives you a day you will never forget. His warm smile and courteous manner coupled with his expert knowledge is rare. We spent the entire day with Frank and caught every targeted species and had plenty of fish to eat when we went home. Great day made possible by a great captain. I booked this trip as a birthday gift to myself. Captain Frank was out of town but put me and my son with Captain Spencer. He was a great resource on locations to get bites. And he was right. We caught fish at almost every spot he took us to. My son had a ball and is already asking when is the next trip. We created some great memories. It was a great birthday gift to myself! I highly recommend this outfit for your next fishing trip.

We had an amazing time on our recent fishing trip! From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. The captain was fantastic—so nice, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Not only did we catch some great fish, but we also learned so much along the way. The captain took the time to explain everything, making sure we were comfortable and confident with each step. It was clear that he genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. We laughed a lot, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, and made memories we’ll cherish. Captain Frank was incredible from the minute I booked this surprise fishing trip for my man! Personable, prompt (in his responses), helpful, and as excited as my man was to go out on the water! As a personal touch he showed up with home brewed black coffee (as he’d asked for my man’s favorite drink) for the ride! A bunch of fish were caught, and friends were made. Truly! I got to hang wish Captain Franks wife on shore and no better time was had! THANK YOU again, Frank and Paula - for absolutely THE BEST day up in Lake Norman!

We couldn’t have had a better experience. Captain Spencer worked with our limited schedule and did a great job steering our ten year old novice fisherman to a great spot where he practiced casting and reeling and caught bass and crappy! He was thrilled. We will be back for more adventures! Highly recommend this outfit - great job and excellent communication throughout.

My 6 year old son and I had an absolute blast with Captain Frank! We caught a ton of fish (ripped some glips as my kid says), learned a ton, and had a lot of laughs. Frank was very patient, had awesome fish finding technology, and really went the extra mile to make my son’s day fantastic. Frank, even stayed for an extra 30 mins after our charter was over to teach my son how to use a baitcaster… something my husband and I have been actively avoiding for years now! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We had a 2 hour excursion planned and we used every minute catching fish! It was perfect!! Frank put us where the fish were and our 9 year old had the best fishing experience … it was his first time and he is hooked! Frank was very kind, patient, and it felt like we were fishing with a friend. Could not recommend this more!!

You just can't ever replace this kind of family time with your children. It is most impressive to me when a captain realizes this and adds to an already perfect day on lake Norman.
