Red Fin Addict is a charter with a real passion for the shallow waters of Florida and the fish that swim in them. It is run by Captain Heath, a native Floridian who has more than 30 years of experience fishing the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. He will be able to take you to the best shallow spots in order to put you on fish, all the while having a fun and relaxing time. Each trip is an adventure to be remembered and is guaranteed to produce a nice catch for you to make dinner. Captain Heath has a 'client first' mentality which is sure to make this an adventure you will remember forever.
You will fish aboard the 21' Carolina Skiff flats boat which was built in 2019.
Red Fin Addict will take you fishing in West Central Florida, covering some of the best fishing spots including Homosassa, Crystal River, and the surrounding waters. You will target species such as Snook, Flounder, Spotted Seatrout, and Redfish, among other shallow water fish. Captain Heath will provide rods, reels, tackle, live and artificial bait, and a fishing license for the saltwater of Florida. You will also have drinks available on board, and a cleaning and filleting service at the end of the trip.

3/4 Day Trip Inshore Fishing on April 2, 2024 • 4 adults • 2 childrenBooked a 3/4 day with Captain Heath. Caught our limit in tide/water conditions that weren’t in our favor. Heath is relentless in his pursuit and had the perfect concoction of patience and pursuit. Had our children tag along (7 & 8 yo) and he was perfect with them. Kept them entertained with guide related conversation and got them in the fight with the red fish. Can’t express enough how happy I am with our booking with Captain Heath. The meet up or launching point is private and secure. If you want to get your moneys worth and have a great trip this is your guy. We will definitely be back and he will be my first contact upon returning to Crystal River. Once again thanks so much it was a blast!

Heath was an outstanding guide for our family’s first scalloping charter. My husband, our two preteens, and I had an amazing time. He put us on the scallops, and we were able to catch our limit! The boat was comfortable, clean, and had plenty of room for our family of four. Heath was patient, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. Toward the end of our trip, a storm rolled in. Rather than rushing back to the boat ramp, Heath made our safety and comfort his top priority. He navigated us away from the storm and waited until it was safe to head back. Even though we returned later than expected, he never rushed us and still took the time to clean all of our scallops. We couldn’t have asked for a better first scalloping experience. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable guide who genuinely cares about his guests, I highly recommend booking a trip with Heath. We will definitely be back!

Captain Heath was very accommodating when having to change our booking due to Florida summer storms. He even got up at 5am to confirm our trip was good to go before we got on the road to drive over. We found quite a bit of scallops at our second stop. Heath never made us feel rushed, we always felt safe, had fun and didn’t have to clean the scallops!
Great day on the water with Captain Heath. We caught some scallops but the area was very crowded. We still had a really fun experience. Captains communication was excellent before and during the trip. We will be booking a fishing trip next with him. Would definitely recommend. Remember to wear a UV shirt while scalloping.

Capt. Heath at Red Fin Addict Inshore Charters was phenominal. 10/10 recommend booking with Heath. The trip landed us a nice take home fish but that wasn’t the best part, it was the knowledge and conversations we got from Capt. Heath. We had an absolute blast on our half day trip!
