Welcome to Homer Fishing Adventures, your charter connection to what beautiful Homer, Alaska has to offer! Join Captain Forrest, who has spent nearly every day on the water in the past 10 years. With lots of time invested, he gained tremendous knowledge about the fisheries of the Cook Inlet and the Gulf of Alaska.
Capt. Forrest’s main goal is for everyone to enjoy a fantastic time on the water, regardless of their fishing experience. He ensures that everyone, from beginner level to experts, has the best time possible.
You’ll be fishing on a newer 31' vessel that accommodates up to 6 guests. She’s powered by twin 250 HP engines and reaches the speed of 35 knots. There’s enough space for all anglers to fish in comfort and you can count on a safe and efficient ride.
Your targets depend on the type of trip you choose. You can take a trip that focuses on one species only or combine all of them in one big adventure. Target Halibut, Salmon, Pacific cod, and Rockfish using various techniques.
It’s easy to get ready for this trip, as the crew covers the most important details. They’ll take care of top-notch fishing equipment and take care of catch cleaning. You only need to prepare your fishing license and pack some snacks and drinks for the day.

Everything you want in an ocean fishing trip!!
8 Hour Trip Private– Halibut on June 30, 2025
Forest was knowledgeable, boat was very clean and well kept, equipment was in great shape. He went out of his way to make sure we caught the fish!! They kept our lines baited, working and so we could reel them in. If a spot slowed down we moved spots. If we wanted to try for a bigger fish we kept trying. He was so encouraging and fun! 8 hours sounded like a long time but did not feel like it. We didn’t have long periods of time when nothing was biting. I would highly recommend Black Pearl with Forest! Unless you don’t really want to have fun and catch fish!

Great Conbo Trip
8hr Private trip- Halibut/Salmon on July 10, 2025
This conbo trip for halibut and salmon was great. My cousin and myself both got our limits on both the halibut (two each) and king salmon (one each). In addition we both also got one silver salmon each along with 2-3 pinks each, as well as a few rock fish. What a great mixed bag. As we both like to smoke salmon (pinks) and save all kings and silvers for our table fair meals. Really couldn’t ask for more.

Evening trip was perfect!
Evening 3hr fishing trip-NonHalibut on June 16, 2025
Marcus and Lars were both great, putting us right on some easy to catch pollack to get things going quickly, and then onto salmon, where we caught a nice one! The evening trip is perfect for those not looking for a long full day out on the water. They were also very flexible with multiple options to keep our group (ages 12-75) engaged and having fun. Highly recommend!

8 hr Private trip Halibut/Rockfish on June 19, 2025
Took my son for his graduation trip from high-school. Been shut out on a few charter with no fish and really hoped this was not the same. We hit our limit on halibut and then fished a hole where we literally dropped the line and as soon as it hit had a fish on. Caught some monster cod. Best day of fishing ever.

Forrest loves to fish and it’s not just about just getting fish in the boat. When you fish with Forrest you are part of the team and his experience and knowledge of the waters and fish are exceptional. The bonus was that we slayed them. He knew when to move, where to move and when to change it up. I will say you won’t be disappointed with the equipment, the boat and the captain. Five stars to Forrest you won’t be disappointed!!!!

Homer, Alaska, United States
Fishing has been a part of Capt. Forrest's life ever since he could walk. He grew up near the coast of North Carolina but everything changed after his father took him to Alaska, where he had a fishing adventure of a lifetime. After that trip, Capt. Forrest decided to pursue his passion and moved here with the intention to become a professional angler. At first, he worked for other outfitters during summer and did commercial crabbing during winter. Seven years later, he has his own charter and loves to share his knowledge with other people.
