  Such a great trip!! My Wife Morgan and I booked a last minute trip with Forrest’s Homer Fishing Adventures for our stay in Alaska. We were accompanied by Ben and Ethan. What a breath of fresh air these two young fishermen were from previous tropical charters! Great conversation and they knew the waters! They put us on the Hallibut right away! We had our limit of over and unders before 9 am and were off for kings. Ended up catching our limit of those and a bonus cod. I can’t recommend this charter service enough!!

  Best Fishing EVER!

  Shared GAF Halibut Mutli Species on August 19, 2026 • 2 adults

  We had a blast catching halibut and cod all morning. As soon as the bait hit bottom there was a hit, and FISH ON! We probably caught 100 fish between the six of us. But the real high point of my trip was the BIG ONE I pulled in! A 54" halibut! It was obvious from the beginning it was going to be large, but she was amazing! 😁 What a catch! Great day! Zach and Lars were kept very busy, and they handled it wonderfully. Great crew. Thank you.

  Evening Pacific Cod/Salmon on June 29, 2026 • 2 adults

  Majestic mountains lined the water’s edge like old white whiskered men surveying the horizon. The ‘Grey Lady’, urged on by the skill of Captain Forrest, cut easily through the chop as Ben readied the lines for the day’s catch. Great day today! Caught cod and halibut on jigging from the very first drop, Pulling two cod at a time, my arms got sore after three or four drops! Seventeen fish and could easily have caught more but I didn’t want to be greedy. Homer Fish met us at the dock and my fish will soon be flying eastward. Great experience, great friendly and knowledgeable crew (congratulate Ben in getting his Captain’s license), highly recommend.

  Zach and Lars are THE BEST and gave us the ultimate fishing day! We lucked out with weather, but everything else was credit to having an awesome crew who really knew what they were doing. We hit our limit on halibut, caught a few rockfish, and then pulled in cod after cod after cod with our kids running to reel in whichever line had a fish - sometimes four or five lines at once 😂 We might not ever be able to go fishing again - it was too good! Thank you so much for giving us such a fun day that our boys said was one of the best days of their lives. Would 100% book this again.

  Fishing with Forrest

  Full Day Trip – Halibut/Rockfish on May 23, 2026 • 2 adults

  For our first chartered fishing trip in Alaska, this trip set high standards going forward. Captin Zack and 1st mate Larz were both very knowledgeable and had a lot of advice from best tasting fish, to processing, to shipping. The day was sunny and water was mostly calm. We caught our limit of rock fish and halibut plus we had a blast catching cod! I especially enjoyed that Zack made it a “team” experience and Larz offered to take pictures multiple times of me holding my fish! :) They were both very nice and had great sense of humor! Absolutely recommend Captin Zack and Larz! We will be back to fish with them again!
