You'll fish from a 45' Sheldon Midgett offshore sport fishing boat that can sit up to 6 guests and is powered by a 660 HP Cumming M11 engine that can reach a maximum cruising speed of 27 knots. The boat's navigation gear includes all the modern GPS, fishfinder, radio, and radar systems that allow for safe and quick reaching the fish. The boat's got a flybridge, toilet, as well as beds, and it also features air-conditioning, a multimedia system, and an ice-box. When it comes to the fishing equipment, there are outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and a livewell. Finally, a first mate will also join your trip so you have the best possible service while on board.
Hatteras is known for its rich and varied fisheries, and with species such as Bluefin Tuna, Amberjack, Marlin, Wahoo, King Mackerel, Snapper, Triggerfish, and many more, you'll have an excellent opportunity to make a big catch. The choice of fishing techniques you can use is also wide. You can bottom and deep sea fish, troll, spin, jig, pop, as well as drift and kite fish, using light and heavy tackle. If you wish, you can keep all the fish you catch. If not, just release it back into the water. Kids are welcome to join the trip, so feel free to bring them along.

Captain Jay even reached out a day prior to give a heads up about some weather. Had some rough water and he still delivered. First Mate Matt was non stop all day and we landed a bunch of Mahi. Best charter ive been on would recommend to anyone !

Full Day Fishing Charter on August 13, 2025 • 3 adultsHad a blast today with Captain Jay and Matt. If an Old School Captain is what you’re looking for he’s your man ! Not only was he well prepared beforehand, asking us the day before to come early so we could outrun the major storms that morning but also he and Matt were troopers when we did have to pass through a few periods of rain, keeping us dry in the cabin while they did the work to keep our rigs in the water. Had our limit of Mahi by 8am and spent the rest of the day filling the boat with Wahoo and Tuna. We’ll be back next year for sure !

Full Day Fishing Charter on July 16, 2025 • 6 adultsCapt. Jay doesn't waste time when the fish aren't hitting. He moves on to try something else and knows what to look for. Caught our limit of Mahi and a nice Wahoo. And his mate, Matt, works his tail off to make sure everyone is catching fish. We locked in to a school of Mahi and I've never seen anyone haul the fish in and re-bait the hook faster than Matt. Highly recommend Capt Jay, his boat, equipment and Matt.

Capt. Jay was excellent. We caught a lot of Mahi. Great of day fishing, and Matt was a top shelf mate. Great experience. Super easy to work with. Would do it again.
