Come visit Italy and have a wonderful fishing trip together with SalBoat Sorrento Fishing Tours. Starting out of the famous town of Sorrento, you and Skipper Salvatore Ioviero will embark on a journey and search for many different and interesting offshore species. The skipper is a skilled angler who'll help you make a great catch and enjoy your trip to the fullest.
Your trip will start on a restored 42' Sorrento Gozzo commercial boat that can easily take up to 15 guests. Its 250 HP Iveco engine along with modern navigation technology will take you quickly and safely to the fish. The boat is wheelchair accessible and has got a toilet, shower, beds, and a kitchen. You can use the onboard multimedia system, refrigerator, ice-box, as well as snorkeling equipment. A first mate will be joining the trip as well.
You'll encounter many interesting species, some of them being Amberjack, Atlantic Mackerel, Dusky Grouper, Gurnard, Gilt-head, John Dory, and many more. You'll catch them by bottom, deep sea, and drift fishing, as well as jigging and handline. You and the crew can keep your catches, alcohol and smoking aren't allowed while on board, and you're free to bring along kids on your trip.
Skipper Salvatore will provide you with all the needed fishing gear as well as licenses, snacks, drinks, as well as lunch.

Highlight of Our Italy Trip

We had such a great time with Captain Sal and his crew. Honestly one of the highlights of our trip.
It's way more than just a fishing charter, you get to cruise around the island, swim, snorkel, fish, and just enjoy the day out on the water. They also put together lunch and drinks, which was a really nice touch.
What stood out the most was how thoughtful Sal was. My girlfriend has a gluten allergy, and we didn't even mention it ahead of time, but somehow he had gluten-free food ready for her on board. That alone says a lot about the level of care he puts into the experience.
Fishing was awesome we caught a bunch, and they even cooked some of it up fresh right on the boat, which was such a cool bonus. And his crew handles everything, so you're not messing with bait or hooks, you just enjoy it.
Sal is the kind of captain you hope for; funny, easy to talk to, and really knows the area. Just a genuinely good guy.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We'll definitely be booking with him again next time we're in Sorrento.

A day in Capri to remember!
Full Day Trip – Capri (September) on September 30, 2025 • 2 adults
Our fishing trip with Captain Sal was exceptional! After dropping off some guest at Capri and enjoying the incredibly scenic boat ride, we started working the waters around Capri and had steady action from tuna, bonita, mackerel, sea-brim, and needlefish for the entire four hours we were fishing. After the other guest return to the boat, we went to a secluded bay for some snorkeling where I was able to feed huge schools of assorted fish and enjoy the incredibly clear water. Once we all returned to the boat, we were treated to our fresh caught fried fish along with a delicious lunch of pasta, homegrown vegetables, cheese, fresh baked bread, and his sister Maryann's amazing homemade chocolate cake. While having lunch, we circled the island while the first mate, Lorenzo alternated, handing out courses of the meal and sharing interesting information about every corner of the island. Lorenzo also did a phenomenal job of assisting with setting lines and landing fish while he also shared great information about the local resource. We've fished a lot of different destinations and never had a trip with more action and more variety of adventure~all while surrounded with such amazing beauty that only Capri and Sorrento can provide.
