He invites you nearshore and offshore to enjoy good service and take this experience back home. Come to Akumal and have a fun and enjoyable fishing trip!
You’ll be fishing from a restored 25’ Imemsa airboat that can take up to 6 guests. It runs on a 60 HP Yamaha engine. It uses a radio for navigation, features an ice-box to store your fish and drinks, and is equipped with outriggers and snorkeling gear. There will also be a first mate present during your trip to give you any help you may need.
You’ll target Mahi Mahi, Marlin, King Mackerel, Sailfish, Jack Crevalle, Wahoo, Great Barracuda, and more. You’ll attract fish by bottom fishing and trolling on light tackle and you can choose whether to keep or release your catch. You will share some of the catch with the crew. Kids are welcome to join aboard.
The captain will provide you with all the tackle, lures, fishing licenses, and drinks and will also clean and fillet your catch free of charge. What you should bring is just some food.

Manuel, Luis, Fransisco were AWESOME!

What a great day — Manuel was nice enough to pick us up from our hotel, he spoke well and made us feel at ease. Once on the boat, Luis and Fransisco were amazing and full of knowledge. We caught a 3ft barracuda and a 4.5ft Wahoo. Luis then proceeded to filet the fish for us, and Manuel had plenty of wonderful recommendations on restaurants that would cook it for us. On our drive back to our hotel, Manuel showed us the best local spots for various types of food, and produce. Overall a fantastic day and can’t recommend this company enough! Five stars all around.

Half Day Trip on May 30, 2024
Great day and nice 25ft Panga boat. The waves and swells were nothing in our control so our three kids under 10 did get sea sick unfortunately. However, the captain and crew were very helpful in providing water for the children. We caught 2 Mahi-Mahi and 2 Barracudas. All with ease and even the kids were able to reel some in too. We saw some Turtles as well while trolling. It was an overall great experience and we would highly recommend Pio's Tours for any avid fisherman or family looking to Deep sea fish.

Hi! My name is Manuel Jimenez, I'm 33 years old. I grew up in Aventuras Akumal. My family has been in the business of fishing for many years and it's been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Being the only Mexican kid on the block I grew up speaking English all the time. I was very blessed to grow up in this place since I could do the things I love the most like going out fishing and snorkeling with sea turtles. I love what I do and being able to transmit that to others so they can go home and share these experiences with their loved ones is a great feeling.
