Welcome to SPI Freedom Fishing! Now is the time to have an amazing fishing experience and create great memories with your loved ones. Captain John Fowler is eager and fighting to make every trip better than the last. He thrives off of seeing smiles on the faces of his guests and hoping each one gets to create a memorable experience.
You'll be fishing aboard a 1985 38' Delta, repowered in 2021. The boat is upgraded with twin 375 HP Caterpillar engines and reaches the speed of 20 knots. The boat offers modern navigational electronics and top-notch fishing equipment. For better comfort, there's also a private toilet, kitchen appliances, and a perfect ride on a flybridge.
The trips range from 5-hour family tours to 12-hour hard-core adventures. It all depends on what you want to go after and how much you want to challenge yourself. Closer to the shore, you get to target King Mackerel, Snapper, Cobia, and Triggerfish, while far offshore spots bring big game fish into the game - Sailfish, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Barracuda, and many more.
All fishing equipment and bottled water are included in the price. Feel free to pack your food, drinks, and sun protection for your day out. The crew will also let you keep the catch and clean it for you when you get back to the marina.

A group of us took the 8-hour deep-sea fishing trip and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The crew was knowledgeable, friendly, and the captain was top-notch, making every effort to keep us around the fish and succeeding. Made the entire trip run smoothly. Caught around 12 fish total and had an absolute blast the whole time. We really appreciated that the crew filleted and bagged all the fish for us at the end, which made bringing them home so easy. Highly recommend the 8-hour trip if you really want time to get out farther and have the full experience. Definitely worth it and they’re already talking about going again!

Booked the trip for my 4 years birthday all he wanted to do was fish. Had 3 adults 3 kids all avid fishermen dedicated inshore anglers… we booked this trip to knock a few different species off the bucket list and did just that. 2 hour boat ride to spot was good and smooth and soon as we got there we starting trolling. Within 5/10 minutes our first line started screaming FISH ON king mackerel. Caught a few kings and then ran into a school of mahi. We only got 1 mahi out of the school lost a few . Trolling bite died down we went to deep diving for snapper and the bite was hot the whole time until we timed out. Highly recommend the 8 hour trip with capt Fowler was a good trip and will definitely be back for some sailfish on a 12 hour trip thank you very much capt.
We had an absolutely incredible experience with this fishing charter! Captain John worked to put us on the fish, moving us from reef to reef, and it paid off because we caught around 40-50 snapper. We stopped keeping fish because we had plenty but could have easily limited. Captain/Firstmate Jake went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of, from baiting hooks to unhooking catches and helping wherever needed. Jake was a shining highlight of the trip, teaching us about fishing in the Gulf of America with patience and great energy. He was amazing to work with and made the whole adventure even more memorable. I will definitely be back for another trip! Couldnt recommend more.

It wasnt the best day of fishing ive ever had but it wasnt from lack of effort. The captain and deckhand tried their best to keep us catching fish but there had been a cold front a few days before which we imagine slowed down the bite. We really appreciat that they made multiple passes to really try and put us on. thanks John and Jake.

We arrived as suggested 15 minutes early and within 2 minutes of all the members of the party entering the boat we were heading out on the water, these guys wasted no time and maximized our time out on the water even in this late of the season every one came home with at least 2 keepers. We had a few hiccups like seas sickness and some line tangles and by the time we needed more bait on the line before I could say the world the deck hand was on it and it was taken care of swiflty and safely, highly recommend and we will be back. Fish on!
