Shearwater Fishing Charters
Enjoy the quaint atmosphere of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, and discover what fishing opportunities await you. Shearwater Fishing Charters is family and kid friendly and will provide you with the chance to do some fun and awesome fishing. The experienced captain will do his best so you don’t return empty-handed.
The boat is a NC built 25’ 6” Maycraft Pilot House, a serious and safe fishing boat. You’ll have enough space to move around, and there’s some shade against the sun. The boat is equipped with fish-finding sonar equipment, gps navigation, and it is powered by a Yamaha 250 HP engine.
Fishing will be primarily nearshore locations of Wrightsville Beach over sand and artificial reef. You’ll get a chance to test your skills with light tackle and trolling. Captain Drew will help you with fishing for species like Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Bonito, and Sharks.
You won’t need a fishing license as the charter’s got you covered. All the necessary equipment, fishing rods, lures, bait, and ice will be provided. Drew will clean and bag any catch you would like to keep at the end of the trip.
FREE PARKING in private lot during the charter. Clean restrooms and marina store with drinks, snacks, and ice for sale is located a few steps from the boat.

Great capt , great time
Went out early August , waters were choppy and crazy … capt did the best he could and found a good spot to fish and not be bouncing all over the place . Talkative capt and easy to approach would and will book again

4hrs fishing at sea. Unlike other fishing trips I have been on where you were in control of your own rod. The rods where in stays along the side of the boat. They remained in the stays even if you got a bite and you just reeled it in. There were 5 of us so we took turns reeling in the fish. Being out in the boat was lovely but after a while it got a bit boring. We returned after three hours instead of 4. The facilities and captain was great just the fishing wasn’t very hands on.
