You'll use a restored 22' Pathfinder bay boat that's powered by a 225 HP Yamaha engine and that can take up to 6 guests. The boat uses GPS, fishfinder, and radio technology for effective navigation, a wireless trolling motor for easier fishing, and has also got a livewell to supply you with live bait.
Fishing inshore and nearshore, you'll have the chance to target Tarpon, King Mackerel, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Cobia, and Redfish. Using light and heavy tackle, you'll attract them by bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, as well as fly fishing. You can bring your kids aboard and you can keep the fish you catch.
Captain Mike will provide you with both regular and fly fishing equipment, live bait, lures, drinks, fishing licenses, and will even clean and fillet your catch at no extra cost. That being said, the only thing you should bring on your trip is the food of your choice.

We had an outstanding day on the water with Captain Mike! He was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly where to find the fish. Throughout the trip, we caught around 20 fish, including redfish, speckled trout, and triggerfish, which made for an exciting and memorable experience. What impressed us even more was how patient and encouraging Captain Mike was with my 9-year-old daughter. He took the time to help her, made sure she felt included, and helped make the trip enjoyable for everyone. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, friendly captain who works hard to put you on fish while creating a great experience for the whole family, I highly recommend Captain Mike. We’ll definitely be booking another trip with him!

Captain Mike was the best charter captain we’ve ever worked with. Not only was he knowledgeable about putting us on fish, he was welcoming and made our day truly enjoyable. He educated us about the waters and area of Beaufort. At the end of our trip he cleaned our fish and we had a delicious fish dinner that night. We would HIGHLY recommend a trip with Captain Mike.

Captain Mike was very personable and was exactly what five limited anglers needed. He was happy to help give positive instruction and guidance, and his knowledge where to go was top notch. Within the first hour, it was as if he was just another one of friend group with casual conversation and interactions. Bringing home Redfish to put on the grill was the bonus...and it helped that he fileted them when we return to shore. We'll look to join Captain Mike and Salty Seas again.
we had a great time in shore fishing. Captain Mike did great getting us on fish. There were multiple species and we even were able to attack the elusive tarpon. With multiple showing up to check us out. I would highly recommend salty seas. Mike’s the best.
