Come experience the beauty of the inshore backwaters of Fripp Island and the surrounding area as you may have never seen it before. Captain Tim has years of experience fishing and has a passion for the water that he loves to share with others.
Depending on seasons and conditions, you might hook into Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Sheepshead, and anything else that bites. Captain Tim specializes in light tackle as well as fly fishing and will provide everything you need, or feel free to bring your favorite rod.
Trips with Captain Tim's Fishing Charters are fun for all ages, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests and will be provided if needed.
You'll find yourself aboard an 18' Beavertail flats boat that holds up to 3 passengers +1-3 kids. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with bait.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. It's recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.

Me and my wife had a great time out on the water yesterday with Captain Tim. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Captain Tim knows what he’s doing. He knows the water, knows where to put you on fish, and knows how to make the whole trip enjoyable. Everything felt easygoing and natural, but you could also tell you were with somebody who takes this seriously and wants folks to have a good experience. That’s what stands out most — he genuinely cares. He wants you to have fun, make good memories, and leave feeling like you got your money’s worth and then some. Good people are hard to come by these days, and Tim is one of them. If you’re looking for a charter with somebody trustworthy, knowledgeable, and just plain good to spend a day with on the water, book with Captain Tim. You’ll be glad you did.
This half day with Captain Tim was ideal! Our son caught a massive redfish (a memory for a lifetime) & we caught several trout, too. Captain Tim was fun & laidback, plus very patient teaching our son. He’s a great instructor! We can’t wait to book again next Fathers Day.
We really enjoyed our trip with Captain Tim! He was very accommodating and one of the friendliest guides we’ve ever met. Highly recommended!
First of all, captain Tim is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. We had to move our days around a tropical storm and he was super accommodating. He also happens to have the knowledge and skills to put you on the fish. Whether you are fly or spinner fishing you are guaranteed to be well taken care of and have an incredible fishing experience. If you are trying to decide between charters, captain Tim is the one you want.
The day started a bit windy and choppy but Captain Tim knew a couple spots where the waves weren’t too bad. Hooked into a couple Whiting early and used those as bait to eventually catch a two foot long Black Tip Shark, which was a great fight to land. Got some nibbles from Sheep’s Head, but they were too smart to get caught. I also caught the largest Lady Fish I have ever seen, so all in all it was a great day.
