An exciting day on the water starts right here. Fly Fishing is just what the doctor ordered for any person who loves an active type of vacation. Join the captain for a day and explore the flats, backcountry, and inshore spots of Port Aransas. It doesn’t get any better than this!
The journey starts on an 18’ boat that accommodates up to 2 guests. This flats boat was built in 2021 and features the newest GPS fishing equipment. She’s powered by a 70 HP Yamaha engine and a wireless trolling motor. You can always count on a stable and reliable ride, with easy access to shallow spots where other boats can’t get near.
Your captain is an expert when it comes to fly fishing and he can easily spot those unnoticeable movements underwater. He’ll position the boat so you can have the best shot and then it’s up to you to shoot in the right direction. Precision is the key when it comes to fly fishing, so do your best and the trophy is yours! Some of the species you can go after are Tarpon, Redfish, Trout, Sheepshead, and many more.
All fishing equipment is included in the price and soft drinks are covered as well. Make sure to bring your fishing license and pack some snacks of your choice.
Anglers of all skill levels are welcome to join. The captain is a great teacher and he will quickly turn any novice into an enthusiastic angler. Fly Fishing awaits!

Lots Of Fun
We had alot of things against us in this trip. Super overcast, extremely windy, and high tide…but Captain Clay got us on fish! Right out of the gate we were on schools of reds. Poor casting in the wind made it difficult to put it where we needed but managed to land a few reds for the cooler. Clay was awesome and knew his stuff. Will for sure be back!

We chose to catch and release and it was an AMAZING trip!! Clay made sure to communicate with us before the trip and was able to accommodate us! He works so hard to give you the Amazing Experience with Guided Fishing! We’ve went on other fishing trips but this one is the BEST! The way to go for sure, especially if you want more one on one experience and get more for your money! Thanks Clay!! You totally made Michael’s day!!

Captain Clay did an outstanding job of working with me learn the techniques of fly fishing the saltwater flats! I’m relatively inexperienced with only fishing local rivers and streams. Saltwater is a totally different animal! He went the extra mile to try and put us on fish at a bad time of year. I am looking forward to chartering with him again in the near future!

Full day Fly Fishing with Captain Jeff
Great experience fly fishing for Redfish with Captain Jeff. We were casting to fish within a 20 minutes of getting on the boat and the action was non-stop throughout the day. The fish were not actively feeding that day but we were still able to catch a handful due to the sheer numbers we saw and the fact Jeff spotted most of them before they saw us coming. He was also very helpful in instructing us on how to cast and present the fly properly, and very patient as we adjusted to the conditions. I would highly recommend this outing to anyone looking for a great fly fishing experience.
