A seasoned veteran, Captain Maryann Marinho shares her lifelong passion for fishing with others and, together with her first mate Sean Williams is eager to show you how exciting fishing in the beautiful southern waters can be. Your boat for the day will be a restored 34’ Crusader offshore sportfishing vessel that can fit 6 guests. Running on a 350 HP Caterpillar 3126 engine along with modern navigation electronics, the boat will provide a quick and safe trip to the fish and back. It’s equipped with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and a livewell. The boat has also got a flybridge, toilet, and features an ice-box. For any help you may need, feel free to turn to the first mate.
Some of the prized species you’ll be chasing include Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Yellowtail Snapper, Wahoo, and Sailfish. Using light and heavy tackle, you can bottom fish, deep sea fish, troll, spin, as well as drift fish. You can keep your catch and you’re welcome to bring kids aboard.
Your captain will provide all the fishing tackle, live bait, lures, licenses, as well as a free catch cleaning service. Before you depart, just bring some snacks and drinks to stay energized during the trip.

My family and I had an absolute incredible and fun time finishing today! I highly recommend Boa Vida Charters. It was super easy reserving the day and time. Very responsive in coordinating the time and providing the details on the fishing charter. While on the charter the captain and crew were very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a ton of fun being with them and they were very knowledgeable on great locations to find some good fishing locations. It was so kinds of the crew to filet our fish for us to take home. The trip absolutely made my family’s vacation. I would book another trip in a heart beat.

Full Day Trip on June 7, 2025
Captain Sean and Mike were very accommodating and knowledgeable. They were friendly and patient. They explained to the kids, my husband and I how to go about fishing with the obvious love and respect they have for the skill. We caught mahi-mahi, yellow tail and even a wahoo plus a few others we chose to let go. The crew cleaned and fillet the fish quickly and even prepared some fresh wahoo with soy sauce for us to have right then and there at the dock. Absolutely delicious! We did the 8-hour for my husband’s birthday and we had a great time.

Fantastic Day on the Water

My son, son-in-law and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Sean and Mike did a great job getting us on fish. The three of us caught 18 Mahi Mahi and 1 barracuda. We could not have asked for a better day. Anyone wanting to catch fish with a great crew needs to choose Boa Vida for your day of fishing. Next time we come back to Key West they will be my choice again. Keep up the great work Guys.

Wonderful Experience during our 6 hours fisshing trip
3/4 Day Trip on December 5, 2024
Captain Sean and first mate Jason worked very hard during our trip to enable a memorable experience. Knowledgeable, pleasant and focused, they guided us for some reef fishing, and deep sea fishing. We caught over 20 fish, 3 big barracudas (have to let them go, not eatable), 15+ yellow tail and mutton snappers (kept 13), a large cero mackerel (very tasty!), several remora (sharks were also chasing the yellow tail snappers!) and needle fish that we let go. Sean and Jason tried very hard to maximize the time we had on the boat. The crew cleaned and packed in ice the fish at the end of trip, absolutely professionals. Truly wished we would have done the 8 hours trip with them! Highly recommend this company, Sean and Maryann are the co-owners, great people.

Great Fishing Excursion in Key West
3/4 Day Trip on October 31, 2024
My son and I booked a 6 hour fishing trip with Boa Vida in late October. Water was a bit choppy but everything else about the trip was fantastic. Crew of Jason and Sean was very professional, friendly and helpful. Very experienced, took us to a reef area and deep water. We caught a variety of fish including barracudas, mackerel, snapper and small sharks. After the trip, they cleaned the fish and gave us a great recommendation of a restaurant that cooked up our fish for us (and did a fantastic job). Next day, I asked Maryann about recommendations for snorkelling tours. Once again, great advice and we enjoyed a tour that was very well done. Would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in a fishing trip from Key West.
