These waters are known for Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Cobia, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel, Vermilion Snapper, Hammerhead Shark, Black Seabass, Kingfish, Gray Triggerfish, and more. You can expect to do some fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Lawrence welcomes children aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You can’t go wrong when you bring snacks, drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your vessel for the day is a 45’ offshore sport fishing with room for 20 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips, and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Sharktastic Trip!!
Half Day Trip AM (Private) on July 2, 2025
I highly recommend Long Line Fishing Charters! Lawrence the captain and Mike the first mate were excellent. First we caught croakers to use as bait, then they took us shark fishing and we caught the first shark within about 30-45 minutes after casting! Caught 3 sharks within about an hour or so. It was very windy and choppy so we cut the trip a little short due to illness, however it was still a very successful trip! Next time we visit we will look to schedule another trip with Long Line!

Half Day Trip Night (Private) on June 23, 2025
I took my 17yr old, 15 year old and 7 year old on a half day trip! They had the best time! Crew was friendly and knowledgeable.. we caught Spanish Mackerel, total of 3 sharks… just shy 2in of taking one home for shark steaks! Couldn’t have asked for a better day! After having the fish and shrimp cleaned and bagged we popped next door for the local restaurant to cook up some of our catch! Can’t thank this crew enough! We already have plans for next year! Definitely coming back!

Half Day Trip PM (Private) on June 17, 2025
My family went on a afternoon shark fishing adventure! We seen Sea Turtles, Dolphin's, a Hammer Head shark on our way to the fishing location. Once in the honey hole we caught lots of Shark. We caught and boated 4 sharks on our trip, the shark we were able to keep was a 7 foot spinner shark. We lost 3 or 4 other sharks during our outing, one straightened the hook. Lots of action and lots of fish on. One of the most exciting and memorable fishing trips ever!

They Put You On The Fish You Seek
Half Day Trip PM (Private) on May 8, 2025
Captain Larry and Mike, the mate, were very knowledgeable about the water we were fishing. Having a mixed bag for anglers in our party they kept everyone engaged and everyone caught fish. Started with trolling for mackerel and bonito. After having landed quite a few for each angler, they inquired if we were planning on eating fish or could it all be used for Shark Bait. All said no plans to eating the take, Captain Larry was "cool more time for shark fishing" A juvenile Hammerhead (4-5 foot) and several Black nose sharks later, we were all giddy as none of us had ever landed a shark larger than a dogfish let alone a Hammerhead. Will definitely book with Long Lines again if/when we return to Myrtle Beach.

Windy day made for a bumpy ride
3/4 Day Trip AM (Private) on June 19, 2025
A windy day produced 3-5 ft. rollers all day with a lot of chop while underway. A couple of our novice guys got a little sick. But the Capt. and mate worked hard all day to get us some fish and help take care of our sick boys. We moved a lot to find the fish and did get on some small Spanish, and a pretty good barracuda. After we drug the net for bait we landed a really nice 100-110 lb. black tip and had about an 8’ hammerhead at the back if the boat when he decided to not let us put hands on him. He broke the line and said “see ya!” All in all it was a good 1/2 day trip, except for the rough ride, which is beyond anyone’s control short of the Maker’s.
