These waters are known for Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Cobia, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel, Vermilion Snapper, Hammerhead Shark, Black Seabass, Kingfish, Gray Triggerfish, and more. You can expect to do some fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Lawrence welcomes children aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You can’t go wrong when you bring snacks, drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your vessel for the day is a 45’ offshore sport fishing with room for 20 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips, and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

They Put You On The Fish You Seek
Half Day Trip-SHARK FISHING (PM) on May 8, 2025
Captain Larry and Mike, the mate, were very knowledgeable about the water we were fishing. Having a mixed bag for anglers in our party they kept everyone engaged and everyone caught fish. Started with trolling for mackerel and bonito. After having landed quite a few for each angler, they inquired if we were planning on eating fish or could it all be used for Shark Bait. All said no plans to eating the take, Captain Larry was "cool more time for shark fishing" A juvenile Hammerhead (4-5 foot) and several Black nose sharks later, we were all giddy as none of us had ever landed a shark larger than a dogfish let alone a Hammerhead. Will definitely book with Long Lines again if/when we return to Myrtle Beach.

Best evening 1/2 day trip ever
Half Day Trip-SHARK FISHING (Night) on July 16, 2024
Seas were rough! 6-8' rollers made standing a challenge. Captain Lawrence and his mate are first class. We were on shark from the start. Pulling our first 5' black tip within 15 minutes of sitting the lines. The fun continued till dark. We released 8 total. 2 adults and 4 youngsters, all caught fish. The mate made the boys fall in love with shark fishing. Both the Captain and mate were professional and kind. DO NOT PASS ON THIS BOAT THEY ARE THE BEST IN MYRTLE BEACH BY FAR!!

Long line charters provided an excellent experience. Dragging the net for bait was a very cool and unique experience but if you're not okay losing 30 minutes to do it it's probably not a good trip for you. We caught lots of sharks despite some less than ideal conditions. We would go out with them again and would also recommend them to anyone. Thanks captain and mate for a wonderful trip!

My family had a great day fishing. A few members had been on other fishing trips before and had bad experiences. This trip made up for it! It was my first time fishing for shark and it was so fun!!
