The boat you will use is a 22' Sundance bay boat that can accommodate up to 5 guests. It is powered by a 150 HP Mercury four stroke engine with hydraulic jack plate
and uses all the modern GPS, fishfinder, and radio technology for safe and efficient navigation. The boat also uses a wireless trolling motor for a more tactful approach to the fish and features a livewell to supply you with live bait.
You and Captain James will be searching Lake Murray for Striped Bass. You can chase this tasty as well as elusive fish by bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, and jigging, using both light and heavy tackle. You can keep all the fish you catch but you're also free to release it back into the water.
The captain will take care of all the rods, reels, tackle, as well as live bait and lures. The only things you should bring on your trip are fishing licenses, snacks, and drinks.

I learned about tons of things about fish locations , maps and of course catching fishes. After we finished our limit for striped bass, we went for catfish in shallow water and in a short time we caught many catfishes. That was wonderful experience as we caught decent amount of fishes and learned many unknown things from James.

3/4 Day Trip on August 9, 2024 • 2 adultsWe landed our limit of 10 stripers with another two having ‘slipped off’ after breaking the surface of the water but didn’t hit the deck. We also had the opportunity to land two good sized channel cats. Our largest (by far) striper was about 10 lbs….both cats were larger. We did this in about five hours as we cut our time short to appease my wife. This was our anniversary trip, (our first trip to South Carolina) so we left to enjoy more of our celebration. However, our excursion with the ‘Fogman’ helped make this a truly enjoyable excursion

Everything that we were looking for from a charter captain on our trip was checked off by Capt. James of Fogman Fisheries. 1st of all the communication was great, and he checked in a couple times leading up to our trip. We got there about 20 minutes early, and Capt. James was ready and waiting. Throughout the entire trip, Capt. James was very personable and eager to share his fishing knowledge and history of the lake with us. Every hole we stopped at, the fish finder was marking plenty of fish. The effort that was put forth by the Capt. to ensure we had a successful trip was outstanding. We would recommend Capt. James to anyone looking for a fishing charter.

Fishing has always been a tradition in the Lindler family. From the time he was 4 years old, Captain James' father and grandfather would drag him along with them to fish for Crappie and Largemouth. As a youth, he would willingly go along, but fishing was not high on his list of priorities. However, that all changed during his years at the University of South Carolina. Several of Captain James' fraternity brothers were avid anglers, and he started joining them on their excursions to local rivers. After several successful outings for White Bass, Perch, and Catfish, he became more and more obsessed. His passion was ignited, though, when he hooked his first big Striper! The strike, the folded rod, the screaming drag, and his burning biceps made it all over but the shouting. The captain was totally hooked on those beautiful, silver, and black creatures! As a retired educator, Captain James is thrilled to have the opportunity to share his passion with others!
