Come aboard and enjoy a day of fishing together with Sounds Good Charters! You'll have lots of fun exploring the inshore waters of Wanchese, North Carolina and chasing many different species that dwell in the area. Your Captain will give you all the help needed for making a good catch and see that you have the best possible time on the water. Join him and have a memorable fishing trip in Wanchese!

The boat you'll use is a 20' Maycraft center console with plenty of space for up to 4 guests. It's powered by a 150 HP Suzuki 4 stroke and uses GPS, fishfinder, and radio to help you navigate the water safely and quickly. The boat's also got an ice-box to store your drinks and food as well as a livewell to provide you with live bait.

Some of the many species that you can chase on your trip are Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, Cobia, Striped Bass, and Speckled Trout. You'll attract them by bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, and drift fishing, all using light tackle. Kids are welcome to join aboard and you can keep all the fish you catch.

The captain will provide all the needed rods, reels, tackle, live bait, lures, as well as fishing licenses, so the only things you should bring before leaving are the snacks and drinks of your choice.

Mike was awesome.  He was knowledgeable in the fish we were searching for and where to find the fish.  I took my elderly father and my son who was a 1st time boater.  Mike made sure everyone was constantly checked on and was always patient and attentive with my son, who at times, caught everything but the fish.
He never once stressed over the amount of time we were out.  He put us on Bluefish and Speckled Trout.  We even pulled in a few skates as well.  
I would not hesitate to book a trip with Mike again.  If you're looking for a trip where you'll be relaxed and taken care of, as well as a guy who is awesome with kids,  book with Sounds Good Charter, I know I will again.

we booked our trip shortly before a storm was on its way in, capt mike called me and gave me the option to cancel my charter because they didnt have much luck the day before, and the weather was making conditions worse. we decided to still go out, we limited out on trout, mike knew where to take us to have a good chance on a bad day and we struck gold. Awesome dude, get out there and fish with Mike!!

Wow, just wow! From the first minute to the last Captain Mike was on point. He got us on the fish and that is great. Even if we didn't catch one fish the day would have been worth it. I could write a novel telling you how worth the day was. He was friendly and talking to those fish all day long telling them to bite. If you want a great day no matter what then go with Captain Mike. Aye, aye Captain!

Had a great day Fishing and exploring with my family. We are not experienced fishermen. Mike showed us the ropes and by the end of the day everyone was casting. My daughter who just wanted to jump off the boat to swim caught a blue fish and now she’s hooked. Looking forward to our next fishing trip with El Captain

Went above and beyond to make sure we were able to get out on the water and catch some fish before some storms rolled in later that day! It was our first time fishing and he did a great teaching my two young boys! We will be chartering with Sounds Good again in the future!
