Megafishing welcomes you to the rich fishing world of La Romana! Come visit this prime fishing destination in the Dominican Republic and have a wonderful time on the water. You and Captain Ramon will embark on the area’s offshore waters to chase many different species and enjoy beautiful sights. Captain Ramon is a lifelong angler who’ll make your trip the best possible, so pick your day and start your next sea adventure!
The boat you’ll use is a luxurious 40’ Riviera convertible that can seat up to 10 guests. It runs on twin 475 HP Caterpillar engines and uses full-featured navigation electronics for safe and quick navigation. The boat has got a flybridge, toilet, shower, bed, as well as a kitchen. To make your ride as comfortable as possible, the boat has got air-conditioning, a TV, multimedia system, refrigerator, and an ice-box. The onboard fishing gear includes outriggers, downriggers, and a livewell. There will even be a first mate to give you any help you may need.
You’ll go after Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Marlin, Cubera Snapper, Wahoo, and Amberjack. To catch them, you can use heavy tackle bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, as well as jigging. You can keep your catch and kids are welcome to join the trip.
Captain Ramon covers you for all the fishing gear, catch cleaning, snacks, water, and soda, so just bring anything else you’d like before departing, and you’ll be set to go.

Full Day Trip – Pelagic Fishing
Great day on big tuna
Had a great day , 2 mahi mahi within the 1st hour ,then a decent wahoo later on ,then snorkeling at catalina island . Captain Emilio & Alex were great . Boats really nice

1/2 fishing 1/2 Beach
Fishing and beach for my birthday was PERFECT
We booked an 8 hour trip in Big Tuna, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my birthday. The crew was amazing, the boats was immaculate, and the captain was great with communication the entire time. We are definitely coming back. We caught a Marlin and a Wahoo all before noon.

Monster Mahi Trip
We were lucky enough to catch three monster mahi within 20 minutes of dropping lines. We hit within 5 minutes after bringing in the first fish. Then again five minutes after the second. A fourth was too small to warrant keeping when we had three in the box already. Bottom fishing was a miss but the start to the day couldn't be beat.

Awesome Experience
Took a 5 hour trip aboard the Big Tuna while in LaRomana, DR. What a great time. Caught red mackerel, queen snapper, a shark and Grouper (including one that was almost 20 pounds!). Our resort chef cooked everything for us too. Beautiful vessel. Highly recommend the captain and first mate!!

Awesome boat and crew
We did a half day fishing / half day beach trip with my family of 5. They called me a few days ahead to make sure the trip was customized for our group and their needs. We were able to adjust the balance of fishing and beach time during the trip based on how the family was feeling. The crew couldn't have been more accommodating. Definitely will use them again.
