Schooled up Charters is the premiere Light tackle guide service for Chesapeake Beach. We offer something for everyone. From world class experiences for "Hard core" anglers to family trips!
Captain Travis is a local to Chesapeake Beach and a experienced angler. This charter covers the inshore area of the Chesapeake Bay. And as a school teacher he has all the patience in the world for children and loves to run family trips.
You’ll be exploring the local waters on board the locally built Judge Yachts center console. She’s spacious enough to take on groups of up to 6 guests per trip. It also boasts the latest fish finding equipment too, so you know you’re in good hands.
Additionally, the charter covers your Maryland fishing license. You can bring your own snacks and water and, if you get lucky, you’ll get to keep your prized catch. What’s more, the crew will help you with the cleaning!
We use only the highest quality fishing rods and reels as well as tackle! No need to bring any gear on board. Just bring your food and drink. We have a iced cooler on board for your food/drink too!

4 Hour Family Fun Trip PM
Great family outing
We just got back from an afternoon of fishing with Travis and his son Nick. We are a family with a preteen and elementary schooler and this may be the highlight of the summer for them. Travis took us to great spots where the kids could catch a lot of fish quickly (and I mean a lot). It was great action for two kids who had never fished before. He then took a shot and they both ended up catching a large bass each. Nick was also great with the boys, helping them every step of the way. Both Travis and Nick have a great way with kids. They have now made two more fishermen! I cannot recommend Schooled Up enough.

1/2 day Light Tackle Trip PM
Amazing!
Planned a last minute trip for my son’s birthday, and we had a blast. We were worried about bad weather and driving 2.5 hours but Travis had amazing communication the whole time and kept us all up to date! There were 6 of us and we had all caught a good amount of fish. Travis was very informative and he wanted to make sure we all caught something and had a great time. We’ve been on a few other fishing trips before but this one was unforgettable. You can tell he has a passion for this and isn’t just in it for a “pay check” 110% recommend Travis, and my kids are already asking to do it again!

Schooled Up and Travis is Perfect for Kids
Travis took myself, wife and two daughters out for their first fishing trip and Schooled Up exceed every expectation! He taught my 5 year old and within minutes we were catching fish and having a blast. When we needed to move to keep the girls entertained we cruised and saw the sights. It was a perfect day and my daughter wants to come back already.

Wonderful communication and great hospitality
I used this charter as a gift for my husband and the gentleman of his choice for Father’s Day and they had a ball ! The communication was wonderful beforehand and during the day of the trip. The gentleman called me and said they’d book with him again. Worth every penny !
