Knot Tuggin’ Sportfishing welcomes you to Virginia Beach, Virginia. Come join Captain Zach and embark on the area’s lovely inshore, nearshore, and offshore waters to chase a host of interesting and prized species. Captain Zach is a lifelong angler who’ll see to it that you enjoy your trip and land a fine catch. Join him aboard Knot Tuggin’ and spend wonderful moments on the water!
The captain uses a 35’ Carolina Classic offshore sport fishing boat that can sit up to 6 guests. It’s powered by twin 480 HP Cummins engines that will get you to the fishing grounds fast and comfortably. For navigation, there are full-featured electronics needed for efficient movement. Knot Tuggin’ has all the amenities to keep you comfortable while on your trip. A great working A/C and heat, kitchen with a microwave to heat up your lunch, full head, couches, and plenty of storage for all your gear and fish! The boat alsp is equipped with outriggers and a livewell. A first mate will also join you aboard.
You’ll go after Mahi Mahi, Black Seabass, Yellowfin Tuna, Tautog, Spadefish, Wahoo, and many more. You can bottom fish, deep sea fish, troll, spin, jig, and pop. You’re free to keep your catch and you can bring kids on your trip.
The only thing you will need to bring is whatever you’d like to eat and drink for the day. Sunscreen (please no spray sunscreen as it stains the boat) and sunglasses are recommended. Captain Zach provides all the fishing equipment, as well as your fishing license.

Full day – Offshore on August 14, 2025⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible day offshore aboard the Knot Tuggin! We ended the trip with 6 tuna and a gaffer, and the action was nonstop. Captain went above and beyond, doing everything possible to put us on fish and keep us on them all day long. His knowledge, work ethic, and determination really showed, and it made for an unforgettable experience. The boat was great, the trip was well organized, and the fishing was outstanding. If you're looking for a captain who will work hard to make sure you have the best chance at success, look no further. Full day – Offshore on August 11, 2025 • 5 adultsWe had the most amazing fishing adventure this August out of Virginia Beach! We booked a12 hr trip and wrapped it up an hour early after meeting the daily limit, and it was worth every minute. The weather was perfect, the ocean was calm 55 miles out, and Captain Zach and Mate Hunter running the trip knew exactly what they were doing. The boat was really well setup, and really comfortable for the ride. Tuna fishing in August out of VB is spotty I’m told, and they absolutely delivered — helping us bring in 12 beautiful yellowfin tuna (about 200 pounds of fillets) by the end of the day. Each hookup was pure adrenaline, and the excitement on board was contagious. The crew kept everything running smoothly, from setting lines to giving tips that really made a difference. Not only did we come home with coolers full of fresh tuna, but it was a great chance for our family to create lifelong memories of teamwork and laughter. Zach and Hunter were great with the teens ensuring they were safe and successful fisherman. I highly recommend this trip. We went home with our limit and enjoyed fish tacos for dinner.

Half Day Trip – Inshore (PM) on May 13, 2023 • 2 adultsThis was one of the best charters I have been on. Capt Zachary put us onto a school of huge drum. We also picked up several Spanish mackerel and taylor Blue. Another shout out to the captain for rescuing two jet skiers who had flipped their vessel. Captain Zach and Hunter, were super awesome. They got us on the fish and kept us catching for the majority of the trip. fishing was great, people were great, made for a great day on the water and not at work. Recommend this trip as well as this crew to anyone who asks.
