Nambas Fishing Charters offers various fishing packages onboard a luxury 40' Blackwatch. The boat was custom built to the highest specifications for all levels of game fishing. Speaking of which, Nambas Fishing Charters can put you on some real massive fish - Blue and Black Marlin, Sailfish, and Tuna are just some of the names.
Based in beautiful Havannah Harbour, the crew has fantastic access to some of the best fishing in Vanuatu, only moments from the marina. The boat carries a full selection of the finest quality Shimano tackle, with downriggers, tuna tubes, and a vast array of lures.
Carrying this tackle onboard at all times means that the crew is always ready to target some of Vanuatu's hardest fighting and most sought after fish species, using the technique of your choice. Whether it's trolling for Marlin, popping for GT's, jigging for Dogtooth or fly fishing, Captain Russ will ensure you have the best possible chance at catching your target fish. Capt. Russ has fished around numerous fisheries the world over, setting many records in game fishing.
The boat is rigged with navigational electronics, stores safety gear, has a toilet, bedroom, kitchen, flybridge, a live bait well, AC, an ice box, and a multimedia system. Once onboard, the crew will help you make the most out of your outing. On shorter trips, they will serve snacks, soft drinks, and water. Lunch will be provided on full day trips. You don't need a fishing license.
When preparing for the trip, pack sunblock, a cap, sunglasses. You will need comfortable clothes and footwear to be able to join the chase. If prone to seasickness, take medication before the trip. It might be a good idea to bring an extra layer of clothes, just in case. And, don't forget a camera. You will want to have nice photos of your catch. Hop onboard and have a blast!

half day afternoon on July 27, 2026 • 2 adultsGreat day out. It wasn’t far from the marina and the lures are heading out. The focus, skill and passion of the crew was impressive. All the gear was in top condition and the crew inspected iigs after a hit and changed if any damage. Captain Russ put us onto a big blue that headed to the horizon launching and nearly spooled us. The crew all worked together, communicating and coaching through the fight. After a long tussle we had it at the boat, big smiles and photos of a lifetime. We had a few more hits and a nice Bull Mahi Mahi onboard for some dinner. Great vessel and crew, beautiful tropical location will not disappoint.

4 Hour Trip (AM) on December 24, 2017 • 4 adultsOn xmas eve we ventured out on a 4hr trip hoping to catch something memorable for xmas dinner, the fish were not co operating, it looked as if we were just having salad for dinner, but Russ with all his experience and backed by a great crew with Laura and Lani managed to hook me up with a Blue Marlin, estimated weight of 212 kg, it was a fish i never dreamed of catching, Russ and his crew made the adventure thoroughly enjoyable and lots of fun, Thanks for an awesome experience

Multiday Trip on November 6, 2016We arrived in Port Vila the morning of Feb. 6th to start an eight day live aboard fishing adventure down to Santo and the surrounding islands...cannot say enough about Capt. Russ, Laura, Shawn, and Lonny....great captain...explained everything in great detail and simple enough for even farmers from the states to understand...Lol....boat was very clean and spacious.....food was outstanding with Russ grilling out on the deck every night....Lonny and Laura were very professional on the deck....making sure landing the fish was safe and they properly taken care of......Laura was a pleasure to be around and is a great asset to the boat for women who love to fish.....hope to return next year for another trip of a life time.

My 8 yr old described today in one sentence. "The best dream I ever had"...the 3 boys all caught fish, with the biggest boast of all being a Marlin. The boat was impressive and the crew were friendly and knowledgeable. Capt Russ, Laura and Marcel made us feel very comfortable and despite my adverse reaction to the ocean turbulence, everyone had a wonderful time. Can highly recommend 👌

so well organised they organised transport for us to get to the boat launch. Extremely informatve, we both learned new skills and tried our hand at marlin, dog tooth tuna and many other species highly recommended
