Captain Theo at Johnny Quest shows up early, runs a safe, efficient boat, puts you on the fish, and gets you safely home. What more could you ask for? Captain Theo has taken my family fishing multiple times since we moved to Virginia Beach. He's my first choice for a day on the water and always finds a way to fill the freezer with fish. Clean, well-provisioned boats and friendly and professional mates, puts his charter among the top tier in Virginia waters.

Best day fishing I’ve ever had! Capt. Theo kept us on fish the entire day. He was kind and patient for our newer fishers, taught us all some new tricks, all while letting us be involved and have a blast! Will highly recommend if you want to get what you pay for and have a great time. Thanks again!!!

We are so glad we decided to go w/ Theo. He’s an amazing Captain and person. Very personable. We honestly felt like we’ve known him for years. He’s very laid back & kind. He listens & answered any questions we had. He was so patient when it came to showing me how to use the rods & cast. We actually went out w/ him 2 days in a row. We now consider him a friend and plan on coming up again next year.

We booked a trip with Captain Theo to check Cobia off the bucket list. Captain Theo was a great communicator, set cleat expectations for the day and worked hard to make sure we had a great day fishing. He put us on the fish and we ended up with a citation worthy Cobia. I would definately recommend booking with Captain Theo. You won't be dissapointrd.
This trip timed out at 2 pm but we stayed the course and kept on fishing for our clients. Within the next hour we hooked up on this 50 inch Citation Cobia followed up by a cool 39 inch Cobia 2 total. It's was a pleasure to fish with you guys David thank you for being patient with us.
Johnny Quest is the real deal. He was very knowledgeable and has a passion for what he does. If the fish doesn't come to you he's going to go to the fish, you will not leave empty handed. Overall my group had a awesome time out with Johnny Quest and I do recommend others use him for their trip.
Phillip man we all fished hard. I swear those are some of the biggest seabass I ever seen. I really appreciate the great review you wrote. This was in my top 3 trips that I really enjoyed fishing the fellas. We need to get on some Cobia I talked to Aaron about already and bring your gopro I will stay in touch.

I started at 2 years old fishing with my grandfather they called him Dock Brown also my uncle Greg Brown and my other uncles Lloyd Brown and Uncle Jeff & Uncle Larry on the Cape Fear River Lock & Dam #1 in N.C. and Richard Deberry teaching me how to tie a fishermans knot at sanbridge fishing pier i was determined. So I watched and learned from them and other Charter boat Captains through the years. So now I'm taking fishing to another level. Joined the US Navy in 1989 at age 18 small rib boat operator for US Navy Seal Team 6 Desert Storm Shield Master Helsman on USS Halyburton FFG 40. High skill set for ship & small boat operations. Honorable Discharge. Our main goal is to make sure our clients catch fish. If we have to go into overtime for you, we will. Also, Johnny Quest Sport Fishing has won the Angler's Choice Award 2024 because Saam and i worked as a team to put our clients on the big fish. Saam has a high skill set for finding and hooking big fish. His drive and determination are like no other. When he gets in the zone, he's unstoppable. I've never seen anything like it.
