If fishing in Virginia Beach/Norfolk is on your bucket list, look no further than Kraken Charters.

Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Redfish, Black Drum, Black Seabass, Kingfish, Mahi Mahi, Spadefish, Flounder, Tautog, Bluefish, Horse-eye Jack, and more could be biting if conditions are right. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish. For the more adventurous among you, a day of sight-casting Cobia and bull red drum is an experience you won't forget!

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests at all times, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Min 90lbs requirement. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

Your trip begins aboard a 31' Pursuit walkaround that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Tom has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid glass bottles.

Now, time to hit the water with Kraken Charters!

Note: Price does not include tip for the mate or the current fuel surcharge due to rising fuel prices.

Great day on water
4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM) on July 12, 20262 adults

Excellent boat and crew. originally booked for full day, but due to weather and conditions deteriorating later in day we changed to 1/2 on advice of Capt Tom who was in communication with us daily leading up to trip. Vin ran a great deck and was very personable, as was Capt Tom. Boated Spanish mackerel for dinner and through back several Blues. Great day with my son who just returned from deployment. We will be returning!

I have been around boats and fishing all my life. From a young age, the ocean called to me and I began scuba diving and fishing early on. I am a marine educator & practice ethical conservation fishing tactics. Sharks are my area of specialty, I spent years working with non-profits researching sharks and educating the public. I am also a scuba instructor with Naui and SDI/TDI with 20+ years of experience. I do offer classes in scuba and free diving/spearfishing. If you're looking for a custom dive charter please message me. So what are you waiting for??? Quit slackin' and book the Kraken!
