Zander and Perch Fishing Amsterdam

Whether youre an experienced angler or just starting, Juul will get you on the right path to have success on the waters out here in Amsterdam. I had been looking forward to this months and it exceeded all expectations. We caught fat pike, perch, and zander. This is a trip Ill think about for a long time!

I booked a 6-hour trip with Captain Juul for Zander and Perch. We had a great time and explored a lot of the Amsterdam canals for fish. Captain Juul’s knowledge runs deep and he brings global fishing knowledge to his clients (just ask him about some of his fishing experiences!). Caught multiple Zander using different techniques. As a bonus, Captain Juul makes a custom video of his client’s fishing experience and shares the same at the end of the trip. Tons of fun - highly recommend. First class captain, boat and equipment!

An unforgettable fishing trip in Amsterdam with my son Alex! We had an incredible time on the water, catching plenty of Zander and even a perch. The experience was top-notch—from the stunning views to the expert guidance. The coffee and snacks on board were a perfect touch, making the day even more enjoyable. I watched a Insta video about the fishing in Amsterdam and decided I needed to go there. I found Juul and liked what he was offering so contacted him on this site. The whole booking process was easy and communication between us was spot on. I stayed in a boat the night before and Juul picked me up from the boat. The whole day was amazing and I learnt so much, I’m experienced with fishing in the UK but he taught me a few different techniques that I’ll be using at home. The boat and equipment is top notch and as a captain and guide I couldn’t have asked for more. The fishing was fantastic and I caught not only my first Zander but also a beast of a fish. The perch were great fun and huge compared to what we get in the UK. The days catch was over 20 and I couldn’t have asked for more. I’d highly recommend a trip with Juul and I’m already checking my dates to arrange my next trip to Amsterdam but to fish for Pike this time.

Juul our guide picked us up from our canal Airbbnb houseboat via his fishing boat which was already an impressive way to start our day. We started our 8 hour day with some information on Amsterdam as we passed through the canal. He was very personable yet professional putting us at ease from the get go. I caught my first Zander just under a bridge in front of the Amstel Hotel. We then headed out to the IJ Bay where we caught more Zander and Perch. He had hot coffee for us and Stroopwafel’s. We then went to his houseboat along the canal to use the toilet and grab his rods that he uses for Pike. We headed out to the lake just off the Bay to try our luck with Pike. Unfortunately they weren’t on that day - so we headed back to the Bay and caught a lot of Zander. He showed us various fishing methods (casting and Jigging). Offering us snacks and drinks along the way. We caught more than 20 Zander and some perch. After 8 hours he dropped us back off at our houseboat. What a great day we had - Juul gave us an experience that we will never forget. Book it and you won’t be disappointed.
