After four successful seasons on the ocean, we switched to a predominantly freshwater charter/guide service in 2023.  We still do offer 'Learn to Clam' trips; as well as, 'Blue Crabbing Trips' which were our most popular trips of 2025!

Our trip offerings are based on years of fishing on and around Cape Cod – We know what fish species bite when and where. Whether you want to target trophy bass and pickerel, limit out on trout, or fill up a cooler with some perch, we are the charter for you.

excellent experience... Johnny was great with his communication prior to the trip regarding the weather and giving us options to get the trip in... once on the boat, he was a genuine person who balanced the line between coaching us up and encouragement... we caught endless fish on the day, including our 10-year old catching a 4+lb bass... will be back again

Great day of fishing in Buzzards bay
3 Hour Trip – Scup (PM) on August 16, 2022 • 2 adults

We booked a 3 hour trip for scup fishing with John. He watched conditions and weather to get us the best fishing experience. He knew the spots to haul in scup and offered us some variety while moving around the bay. We came home with Black Sea bass, fluke and a lot of scup. Plenty of room on the boat for anglers. This is a great trip for kids or family that want a nice short charter to hook and bring home fish.

I have a super supportive wife, a dog named rebel, and two little girls named June and Morgan January (MJ). They all usually come down post trip to give me a hand and add a few laughs. We recently switched from an mostly saltwater charter to a mostly freshwater charter for the 2023 season. We will get back to salt; however, for the near future we are sticking to fresh.

    Due to the Coast Guard Government shutdown we had a slight delay ruining our credentials on Fishing Booker but now we are back! We will be booking Freshwater trips from now until June. In addition our clamming trips will start in June and Crabbing trips shortly thereafter. Here is caps report from the ponds and lakes. Largemouth Bite - It is a little odd this year as the smaller ponds have been on fire with big bass slurping in the morning with the afternoon bite dissipating. It will be a couple weeks until all of Caps secret bog spots are choked out by weeds so if you are on the hunt for a trophy "bucketmouth" from shore now is the time to book. The larger ponds have produced few Largemouth thus far even with an offering of fresh live bait. Pickerel Bite - Traditionally caps smaller ponds have produced monster pickerel; however, this year the numbers are there but the size is not. However the larger lakes/rivers have already produced three pin sized fish. If you just want action and a great fight; targeting the slime darts from caps boat is the trip for you. The edible fish (crappie and perch) - Cap has yet to target Crappie so there is a lack of a report for them; on the other hand, perch have been a consistent bycatch. If you prefer perch over Crappie for tablefair book fast. As the water temps increase they do not taste nearly as delicious. Crappie remain tasty well into late June!

    Made a short trip to one of Capt. Johnny's spots and never had to move. Constant action and limited out on Tatoug wihout a problem. Great trip and landed a 22 1/2" toag.

    We booked a 3 hour trip for scup fishing with John. He watched conditions and weather to get us the best fishing experience. He knew the spots to haul in scup and offered us some variety while moving around the bay. We came home with Black Sea bass, fluke and a lot of scup. Plenty of room on the boat for anglers.     This day was epic!! We brought our kiddos, for their first time ocean fishing. Captain John was great working with the boys and teaching us about the different kinds of fish. I would definitely recommend and we'll be returning next summer!
