You'll be using light gear in the crystal clear waters of the bay. Expect to be fishing from a couple feet deep to 30' deep for these hard fighting fish. On these trips you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle and spinning.
You'll be fishing out a fully equipped Champion Bay boat that is built to hand Traverse Bay and can safely take up to 3 anglers. Boat is equipped with Gamin electronics with 2 Garmin Ultra 2 126sv with down scan, side imaging and Livescope also a Garmin 93sv for mapping and down imaging.
All rods, reels and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time. The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

Had a great experience fishing with captain Jack. Put us on some nice smallies first 10 minutes. Caught several quality fish , including a 5.6 lb which my son was stoked . Always a great day to be on the lake, even better when you have a good guide.Watch out for those chatter baits they’re money!

Our experience with Captain Jack was top notch! The trip was for my 13 year old son and I, and it was our first time on Traverse Bay. We came away with a fish just under 5 lbs and several more in the 3lbs range. We fished every type of terrain the bay had to offer from shallow rock fields, to depth line transitions to submerged points in 20 plus feet, coming away with fish at each. We had a great day with guide knowledgeable about the fishery, the history of the area, and who is truly excited to share his experience with you. We will definitely be back again next year!

Had a great father son fishing trip with Captain Jack. Bite was slow but he did everything he could to get us on fish. We were able to put some nice smallmouths in the boat. Captain is a lot of fun and we really enjoyed our time on the water with him. We look forward to coming back and fishing with Captain Jack. Highly recommend
