Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time. Moondog Fly Fishing offers only catch and release trips, so any fish you catch will be returned to the water. The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

My sons and I did a half day striper fishing with Capt. Mike on Sun 5/1/22. He put us literally on top of fish all day, but unfortunately, he could not open the fish's mouth for us. On a day where I literally can tell you there were hundreds of boats, like a parking lot, maybe saw 5-10 hookups, but Capt Mike worked extremely hard for us and maximized our time on the boat. He is extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of fishing, he can tell you about Florida fishing, Massachusetts fishing, salt water or freshwater fishing. Extremely easy going, great with kids, easy to talk to. I would absolutely book another trip with Moondog Fly and Light Tackle !!!!

Awesome morning out. Captain Mike knows where to find the bait, birds, and bass. Got my PB 42”/ 30lbs on topwater. I already booked another trip with him for next month.

I'm Captain Mike and I specialize in fly and light tackle fishing for Stripers, Blues, False Albacore and Weakfish. I also do some Fluke and Sea Bass fishing and some fishing for Bluefin Tuna when they are in close enough. My goal is give my clients the best experience possible for a reasonable price. I mainly fish Raritan Bay but will also take some time each year to guide on Cape Cod and in the Florida Keys.

Free cancellation up to 7 days prior to trip
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Transfer to/from departure site is not included in trip rates.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 20% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
