Spend the day with Felipe Zumaya Sportfishing and see what’s biting in San Jose del Cabo! With Captain Felipe at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Amberjack, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Sierra Mackerel, Wahoo, Yellowtail Amberjack, and plenty more.
Depending on the species you’re after, you will find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Felipe also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Capt. Felipe operates a 30’ California cruiser with capacity for 5 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with Felipe Zumaya Sportfishing.
