We booked a 5-hr afternoon trip over spring break. Chose catch & release over keepers. We headed out on time & spent a few mins catching live bait. Caught 4-5 nice red snapper at our first stop. Moved a couple times & caught more red snapper & a trigger fish.

Daughter was wanting to catch a shark, so the Capt & First Mate put a larger Grunt on the line. We immediately hooked up with a Bull Shark (6’ 180 lbs estimated). We took turns fighting him for 30 mins trying to get some good photos, but finally decided to cut the line. Capt Joseph moved the boat over 700’ to keep us on top of the shark.

We dropped a few more baits & I hooked an 18lb Red Snapper. Great fight!

Would definitely recommend & will return next time we are in State.

We had the best day!  Captain Bobby was as nice as could be.  He is passionate and knowledgeable about fishing and the waters around the area.  He is also passionate about making sure the guests on his boat have a good time.  He asked us if we would want to stay closer and catch fish that we could bring back, cook up, and eat- or go further out to catch bigger fish.  We chose the bigger fish option.  (we were leaving the next day- and wouldn’t have benefitted from taking them with us.)  We caught fish after fish.  We saw dolphins!  We also saw a shark, and captain Bobby thought it might be fun for my 16 year old to catch the shark.  My son spent almost an hour ‘fighting’ that shark, and. reeling it in- it was so exciting.  We were lucky with great weather too.  We have already booked both of Bobby’s fishing boats for the next time we are in the area.  SO FUN!

My kids had no idea on what they were looking for other than a nice fishing trip for me for but will say it was an amazing stroke of luck they picked Lonestar and Capt Bobby. Went out on 5 hour trip when weather was cold (40s and 50s) and little wind and chop on the water but Capt Bobby was fantastic and kept us busy reeling in fish all day…even pulling them up at the same time with my son-in-law.  I’ve done several charters through the years from the Great Lakes to the Gulf and I will say I generally don’t write a review but this experience was exceptional from the Capt to the boat…watching the dolphins on the way out and the phenomenal job getting us to the fish and keeping us on them even when almost to late in the season and not the best weather.  Definitely not only would I recommend Capt Bobby and Lonestar but I will definitely return not just with other family members but I’ll be back to bring my grandkids to enjoy a day on the water catching fish.

Bobby was great, very personable, knowledgeable and made for a very enjoyable excursion. My husband, daughter and her boyfriend and I all had a great time.  As promised as soon has our fishing rods hit the water we were catching fish!  Highly recommend Bobby!

Love the boat! Water was pretty choppy when we went. You could definitely tell it had stabilizers. It’s a faster boat so you can get out to locations that most boats don’t have time to get too.
