Cumberland Valley Fly Fishing welcomes you to Jamestown, a city in Kentucky surrounded by beautiful freshwater grounds with rich marine life. Captain Jim Sauerheber will take you on a trip to the Cumberland River to fish its productive waters between Wolf Creek dam and Burkesville.

Captain Jim is a lifelong angler who loves guiding people and will do everything to make their time on the water enjoyable and fun. Come join him and create some lovely memories fishing in Kentucky!
You’ll start your trip on a 16’ ClackaCraft drift boat. This vessel can sit up to 2 anglers and is powered by a 6 HP Mercury engine.

You and Captain Jim will be fly fishing the bountiful grounds of the Cumberland River for Brown, Brook, Cutthroat, as well as Rainbow Trout. Due to the state regulations, you’ll be releasing all the fish you catch during the tip. Captain Jim welcomes kids of all ages aboard his boat. Feel free to bring your young ones on your trip and make it a beautiful family adventure on the water.

The captain will supply you with all the gear for fly fishing, as well as snacks, drinks, and even lunch. Yours is just to bring your fishing licenses and arrive on time for your journey.
