Fly fishing enthusiasts, prepare for the adventure of a lifetime at Hatchery Creek, KY!

Join your expert guide, Mark Lamberth, for a full-day fly fishing trip, walking and wading for up to 2 guests, where you'll experience the beauty and excitement of this world-class fishery. He's taken Rainbow and Brown Trout at Hatchery Creek, which are only rivaled by streams out west. He's taken more 20+ inch trophy fish on this creek than he has out west and seen much larger. He set a personal best in late February by catching 89 fish in one day!

As your guide, he has an impressive 5 decades of fly fishing, having been fishing in 42 states, Canada, and Puerto Rico. He's been guiding for almost 3 decades and teaching for 2 plus decades. He has fished for Trout all over the western states, chased Tarpon in the Keys, and caught salmon in Michigan, and Redfish in Louisiana, to name a few. Fun fact, Capt. Mark has caught Catfish and Carp on a fly rod!

Located in the heart of South-Central Kentucky near Jamestown, KY, Hatchery Creek is a man-made cold-water fishery that maintains a steady temperature year-round and is regularly stocked with Rainbow, Brown, and Brook Trout, offering you a unique and challenging fly-fishing experience. The stream runs from the base of the hatchery to the Cumberland River, providing miles of prime fishing water.

Your guide will give you the knowledge you need for a successful day on the water. He will take you to the best fishing spots and teach you the techniques to catch trophy-sized Trout. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner, he will tailor the trip to your skill level to ensure an enjoyable and memorable experience. These trips are typically catch-and-release. For more details, you may message the captain.

I've been fly fishing for almost 50 years. I've fished all over the USA for almost all species. I was employed by Orvis for five years in the fly shop in Sevierville, TN. I currently teach fly fishing classes for the US Fish and Wildlife Services. I started fly fishing at 16 and have not fished with anything else the entire time. I only use Orvis gear with a few Hardy fly reels. I've been a guide for almost three decades and I am a fully licensed guide.
