If you’re staying in East Tennessee and you’d like to spend a day on a lake or river, Captain William Clabough will make your wish come true. Surrounded by beautiful nature, you’ll spend several hours fishing rich freshwater grounds and have a great time trying to reel in your targets. Captain William Clabough is a cordial angler with lots of experience under his belt and will do his best to make your trip enjoyable and exciting. The boat you’ll be using is a 21’ Excel Catfish Pro that can sit up to 2 guests. It runs on a 150 HP Suzuki outboard and is outfitted with a fishfinder that uses GPS technology and a Minn Kota Ulterra self deploying trolling motor. We are Coast Guard compliant with the new required regulation of having Type 1 Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Devices aboard for each person. We also keep an emergency radio on board.
The lovely species you can chase on your trip include Catfish, Striped Bass, Freshwater Drum, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth bass, and White bass, all depending on trip type. You can use heavy tackle bottom fishing, trolling, as well as drifting and dragging to reel in your catch. We release all fish. Contact me before booking if you want to keep what you catch (Tellico lake catfish trips only, and bring your own cooler please). Also, alcohol is not allowed on the trip.
Captain Billy takes care of all the needed rods, reels, and tackle. You should bring some food and drinks as well as your Tennessee fishing licenses.

Great Guide - Equipment and Knowledge
As far as a positive fishing experience this experience rated a full Five Stars. Captain Willy was set up, on the water at dock by the time we arrived at the landing. Willy freely shared information regarding gear, techniques and was very accommodating to my guests, my brother and my seven year old grandson. We felt very safe and comfortable throughout the four hour trip. At seventy years old and, just started fishing again, after a 40 year hiatus it was a great learning experience. I highly recommend Willy for your catfishing experience. BTW: We caught a trophy CAT and 8 other large blue nose. Amazing day.

Nice haul for family dinner!
We had a great time with Captain William on what could have been a slow day but came home with a nice batch of catfish for family dinner. Caught some on the reel and some from jugging, about 15 in all ranging up to 5 pounds. We were only interested in eating-size catfish and caught more than enough to be well satisfied. It took a knowledgeable guide to get there however! Thanks for everything!
