Get Salty Charters fishes on the waters of Sarasota and Siesta Key out to the Gulf of Mexico and the surrounding areas. Captain Cameron and Captain Jeff are both Sarasota natives who grew up on these waters and they will provide you with a chance to catch a variety of respectable fish on any of their inshore and nearshore trips. Come join them aboard and have a lovely time fishing in Florida.

Sarasota Bay and the surrounding area are home to some of the most targeted species around, including Snook, Redfish, Seatrout, Kingfish, Tripletail, Snapper, and Tarpon! You can attract them by bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, as well as jigging, and you're free to keep your catch.

Your trip will be on a 2016 24' T Craft center console with a tower for optimal fish spotting capability. It's powered by a 300 HP Yamaha outboard and equipped with a trolling motor and a power pole. A cooler and ice will be provided for your drinks and snacks as well as a large fish box for your catch. Most of your fishing will be done with live bait, so there are three livewells to keep your catch fresh. Up to 4 anglers can join a trip.

All the fishing gear you need will be included for your day on the water. The crew supplies rods, reels, tackle, and fishing licenses. It can also clean and bag your catch of the day. Make sure to bring some food and a cooler you'll keep in your vehicle if you plan to take your catch with you. Also, keep in mind that smoking isn't allowed during the trip and that kids are more than welcome to come aboard.

Captains Cameron and Jeff take a great passion for teaching and ensuring everyone has a great day. Whether you're looking for a hardcore day on the water or a relaxing ride, Get Salty Charters can make it happen.

Great Fishing Trip!
2 Hours Of Catch & Release Fishing - 3:00 PM on June 26, 20261 adult1 child

Captain Cameron was an outstanding host! He baited every hook, handed the rod and reel to my 4-year-old whenever he hooked a fish, removed the fish from the hooks, and kept great conversation going throughout the trip. He put us on the perfect spots to catch red snapper, jacks, snook, and catfish. This was my son's first boat fishing trip, and he had an absolute blast. It's a memory I'll cherish for years to come. I highly recommend booking with the Get Salty Charter crew and look forward to another trip in the future!

Great Family Experience!
2 Hours Of Catch & Release Fishing on April 30, 20262 adults2 children

We had an amazing time fishing with Captain Jeff. He was incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable about both the local waters and the fish. We chose to book with him specifically because he’s a retired firefighter—my husband is also a firefighter—so that connection immediately made us feel more comfortable and at ease. It’s much easier to trust someone who dedicated their career to helping others. Jeff made us feel genuinely welcome, and everyone in our family caught fish during the trip. We even saw dolphins a few times, which made the experience even more special. It was truly a core memory for our family of four. We’ll definitely be booking with him again every year when we visit Florida!

Great Half Day of Fishing
4 Hour Trip - 1:00 PM on March 8, 20263 adults

We had a great half-day of fishing with Capt. Cameron. As a fisherman, you always appreciate when the boat is outfitted with top-quality rods and reels. We had plenty of bait and a good variety for what the fish were hitting on that day. We started the trip on the big water hooking into a couple of Cobias that filled one of my son's bucket lists fish. We also caught some Sheephead and a really nice Mangrove Snapper. When we headed back to the intercostal Cameron put us on nonstop action of trout before heading back to the dock. You couldn't ask for anything more out of a fishing trip with your sons.

Professional Operation
6 Hour Trip (AM) on July 3, 20263 adults

Captain Jeff was awesome! Plenty of fish. Some painless and useful education. Trip ended up cut short due to unexpected storm blowing in after discussion of safety concerns and even so one of better charters I’ve had. 3 adults on this trip but captain would be great for families with kids. Sister in law has already recommended him for client trips to a local relative.

Fantastic experience and bonus dolphin!
2 Hour Sunset Fishing Trip on March 24, 20262 adults

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We caught many different types of fish and they started nibbling as soon as we cast the first time. Jeff was more than accommodating and took care of everything, especially for me as a non-fisherman who never wanted to touch bait or the fish. We also got the bonus of watching a dolphin swimming near our boat. Note: all 2 hour trips are catch and release because its not enough time to catch enough keepers, clean the fish, etc. Go for a longer trip if you want to eat your catch.

Mangrove Snapper

Angler's Choice

The Angler's Choice Award is given to listings that consistently deliver a high-quality service and earn great reviews from customers.

Both born and raised here in Sarasota, this crew has been on the water its entire life. Captain Jeff recently retired from Sarasota County Fire Department and wanted to start doing charters in his newly-found free time, so he teamed up with his fishing partner and fellow firefighter/paramedic Captain Cameron to join him in this business venture. Captain Cameron grew up on the waters surrounding Sarasota and Siesta Key and can read the waters like no one else. They both love the outdoors and being on the water as much as they can. Fishing has always been their passion.
