2nd Chance Charter Co. is located in bluewater bay, niceville. Less than 10 minutes from destin and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters.

Captain Thomas Sargent will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 3 to 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Trout, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, and Drum.

Your fishing adventure starts on the 2nd Chance, a 22' Parker center console that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat comes with a portable toilet, an iced cooler, a wireless trolling motor, and a livewell. It runs on a 150 HP Yamaha four stroke engine and uses fishfinder, GPS, and VHF radio electronics for navigation.

All the rods, reels, terminal tackle, live bait, and lures are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The captain or crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. Just bring your snacks and drinks before you depart.

Great day with great captain!!

My siblings and I were searching for a private fishing. I’m local - they came from WI and MN. Jake responded quickly to our inquiries and we got trip planned! Before the trip Cap’n Jake was helpful in answering our questions and providing good details. We met on the dock and were on the water and moving within minutes. His knowledge of the area and the fish we were going to catch were great. Providing all the tackle and live shrimp to catch fish, we started casting right away. First fish on was a 32” red fish!!!!! Too big to keep, but really fun to catch!!! Jake would cast the lure and bait and hand the rods over to us and give us tips. It was a really fun trip and Jake was a great captain. We will definitely be using him again!!!!

Captain went above and beyond

Captain Jake went above and beyond to make sure we had a successful fishing trip. Even though we experienced some bad weather and storms, the captain took us to places to ensure we were able to catch some great fish such as redfish, black drum, and mangrove snapper. It was also refreshing to have a boat captain that did not use foul language; and that had a positive attitude. Whether you are a family with young kids, or just looking for a fishing trip with some buddies, please choose 2nd Chance. You won’t regret it.

We had a great experience with Jake. He was kind and patient, and catered to our son who was celebrating a birthday on the trip. We got to catch several different types of fish and really enjoyed the trip. Jake was great and helpful, set everything up for us and made it a great experience. Would recommend for an enjoyable family friendly trip!

We caught fish despite bad weather

The weather didn't cooperate, but Captain Sargent worked hard to get us on fish. Everyone caught something and my kid pulled in a big bull red. He knows great spots for all conditions.

5 Hour Trip – Fish/Snorkel/Swim on March 25, 2025 • 2 adults

The experience captain jake gave me and my fiancée was amazing! Making sure we got every experience possible!!!! We got on the fish after a little while and he made sure that we were able to come home with some meals!!! A++ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! this man is a god send and anyone coming to fort walton/destin area should join him!!!!
