If you're ready to go fishing in Belmar, we've got you covered with On The Run Sportfishing. With Captain Mikey at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
You're likely to fish for Striped Bass, Tautog, Flounder, Black Seabass, Cod, Pollock, Tilefish, Bigeye Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and more, depending on the time of year. During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your adventure begins aboard a 48' Hatteras convertible that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Mikey has rods and reels for you.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with On The Run Sportfishing. Hop aboard!

Mikey is a great captain, had a great music selection playing while we were fishing, His boat was comfortable with a living room kitchenette, and a real bathroom, we did a 6hr trip with 3 guys it was the perfect mix of fishing action, conversation, music and experiences. In the 6hrs we probably caught 25-30 fish which means at any given moment someone was catching something. Andy his first mate, was very interactive with us, always available to bait our hooks provide assistance, unhook our catch and at the end fillet our fish.He was on a constant look out to see if there was anything he could do to make our trip more relaxing or more interesting.
Mikey is one of the good guys. Our family of six had a memorable trip yesterday with Captain Mikey catching many flukes which made for a great Saturday night fish fry. The boat is spacious and comfortable. Milkey is extremely knowledgeable, helpful instructing us and was very patient with us. An all around great day. Thank you Mikey and first mate Jude for making this such a memorable day! - Chris Hull Wall, NJ

i was travling in and oicked this charter for the date on the calendar rather than a specific target. since we were between seasons we did bottom fishing for Fluke. Caltain Mike and his mate put us in the fish and changed out setups based on his local knowledge and the structure below.
Thank you for making our trip great.
