Captain Ben's Charters invites you to spend a day on the 'Reel Adventure' fishing in the waters of the Mississippi Gulf and experience the beauty of a bountiful and scenic fishery. Captain Ben will meet you at Gulfport Municipal Marina, pier 6 slip 11, and take you to nearshore or offshore fishing grounds full of all kinds of species you can catch. The captain's main priority is to provide his guests with a safe, fun, and productive trip. Pick your day, come aboard, and create awesome fishing memories!

Your 'Reel Adventure' will take place on a restored 36' Topaz Sport fisherman Vessel that can accommodate up to 6 anglers. Powered by twin 330 HP Cummings engines and rigged with up-to-date fishing finding and navigation technology. 'Reel Adventure' features 33' outriggers to enhance the trolling fishing experience.

The boat has a stand-up headroom/private toilet as well as V-berths and large dinette. Captain Ben will accommodate guests with disabilities (Please call ahead for planning).

Depending on the season and weather conditions our target species include Sheepshead, Bull Red-fish, Speckled Trout, King and Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, awesome Sharks, aggressive Cobia, and Black Drum. Captain Ben provides both light and heavy tackle and the methods for bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, as well as drift fishing. You're free to keep your catch. The first mate will be on hand to help you with all stages of the trip. Tipping the first mate for their hard work is greatly appreciated.

Captain Ben invites your fishing group as well as your children for a beautiful day on the water. He'll provide all the fishing gear; bait; fishing licenses; and offers free cleaning and filleting of the day's catch. Just bring your favorite snacks and drinks, and an ice chest on board if you desire, and you'll be set for a 'Reel Adventure' you won't forget!

Half day with Captain Ben

Fall & Winter Special - 4 Hour on November 5, 2025

Captain Ben and his deck hand, Ryan, were phenomenal. We did the half day trip and they got us right on some fish. Ryan ran his booty off keeping our hooks baited, giving tips, getting our fish in the cooler and we were catching as soon as our hooks were in the water. Captain Ben communicated with us several times before the trip, gave us great expectations on what types of fish we would be going after, and made the trip fun and informative. 

The boat itself is very nice. She’s roomy enough for our group of 5, comfortable, well equipped and the bathroom on board was a huge plus. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Gulfport Fishing

Nearshore / Offshore 6 Hour Trip on June 14, 2026 • 3 adults

Fishing was tough after heavy rains, storms and commercial fishings boats having scooped up the bait fish just days before our trip. The captain changed up fishing techniques at least 4 times and even extended our time in an effort to get us a fish or two but the fishing conditions were just not in our favor. The captain and first mate were great and very accommodating. I recommend this crew to anyone who wants a fun day on the gulf.

Caught 9 sharks on our bachelor trip. Captain Ben and Luke were great at lining us out and setting up the group for success. they communicated well as well. Had some weather in the morning of, but they reached out to us and reassured an altered takeoff time. Definitely recommend.

Great day on the water

CPT Ben and hands helped our family have a great time on our first salt water fishing excursion.  Superb work keeping our hooks baited and in front of the fish.  Tips and pointers were instrumental in helping us get fish on - and on the boat.  Highly recommend.

Great Family Fun

What a great experience for our family. Hard to put into words the enjoyment watching my 11 year old real in a fish the size of a cooler! She will remember that forever. Beautiful afternoon and evening spent catching fish with my loved ones. Captain Ben was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Ryan took care of all of us, we were pampered fishermen & women.
