Visit Puerto Vallarta and experience some of the most productive fishing in Mexico with PV Hook Up! The team is made up of a group of friends, gathered around the mission of showing everyone how amazing fishing these beautiful waters is.

You’ll head out on 38 ft sportfishing boat. On board, you will find enough room for up to 8 people to relax, along with a inside toilet and bedroom below.

The crew will provide you with Shimano and penn rods and reels rigged with a fluorocarbon line. There are tuna tubes, outriggers, on board, as well as a live bait tank. And TUNA Tubes. There’s snorkeling equipment if you want to experience the rich underwater world first-hand. Note snorkeling trips must be requested agreed upon before booking.

The PV Hook Up team offers both bay and offshore fishing trips, depending on how much time you have on your hands. 4 and 6-hour trips give you plenty of time for some solid action inside the bay, whereas starting with an 8-hour trip, you can have enough time to venture far offshore in search of Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, tuna, and jack crevalle. Or hwad out on 10-12 hr days for a ahot at Marlin, Sailfish, YellowFin Tuna, big Mahi Mahi, and more!

10 Hour Trip – Offshore on November 12, 2024 • 2 adults

Capitan and mate were exceptional and friendly. We requested to catch sailfish, which we did! We caught 5 and had an excellent time. However, the 10 hour trip is not Offshore as you see the coast the whole time. The boat never exceeded 8mph. So 2-3 hours of doing nothing at 8mph until we started trolling for sailfish. I rented a panga boat the next day for less than 1/2 the price and covered more ground and caught more fish in just 6 hours. Summary: we wanted to catch sailfish, which we did, it was just a painfully slow and long trip for inshore trolling. I will go 6 hours on a panga next time to cover more water and save a lot of money.

Although the crew was different from what we told they were very good we didn't catch a lot of fish but it wasn't the crews fault, one of those days. We were treated to a fabulous ceviche with mahi-mahi. We did a 10 hour trip and the accommodations on the boat made the 10 hours very comfortable, we had enough room to make the trip comfortable.

Full Day catching trip

8 Hour Trip – 18-22 Miles Offshore on September 29, 2021 • 4 adults

I have gone fishing on numerous occasions, in many locations around the world. This was not a fishing experience this was a catching experience. Capitan Cesar and his crew Chaba and Chewy were extremely knowledgeable to where the fish where, attentive to us and kept the fish coming. The boat, while being mature is well maintained by the dedicated Capitan and Crew. We chartered a full day of fishing. The day was so full of catching the 8 hours flew by. I will be back to go catching with this crew again.

Full Day trip (12hr) with Captain Cesar

12 Hour Trip - 35-50 Miles Offshore on December 19, 2021 • 3 adults

We had a good time with Captain Cesar and crew. Went out to la Corbetena and caught a couple dorado's and one really nice striped marlin. We saw a large pod of dolphins along the way and a group of humpback whales breaching not far from us. The boat was impeccably clean and the crew was friendly and worked their tails off switching out baits managing gear when fish would hook up. Caught the marlin casting off the side of the boat! Thanks again for the adventure!

Great Trip

8 Hour Trip – 18-22 Miles Offshore on December 8, 2020 • 4 adults

Caught 8 Mackerel, 2 Bonita, 1 Mahi Mahi, and 3 sailfish on an exciting triple strike (~75 lbs, ~95 lbs, ~110 lbs). Had a crew of 3 which certainly came in handy for the triple sailfish strike. You can tell they really put in an effort to get fish since they actually anticipated the sailfish strikes by spotting a small school, stopping, casting, and then restarting reaccelerating. Great boat (bathroom which came in handy for the ladies). Cut up the small Mahi Mahi for us which we brought to Pezlimon who charged us half price for 5 ceviche's and 5 grilled fish entrees since we were supplying the fish. Only negative I can think of was pictures relating to the sailfish. So much going on that they didn't take any at the time of catch with the fisherman and we were going to bring up pictures when we got back but forgot. All the other fish they got a good picture with the person. For sailfish we have to settle for pictures of them on the floor. I'd recommend them to anyone.
