Whether you’re looking to sight fish on the flats or throw a fly in the mangroves, Captain Andy will do his best to guide you into the species of fish you’re pursuing. Venture into the scenic inshore waters, flats, and backcountry of the Everglades National Park by a stealth skiff and fishy and personable guide. If you’re a seasoned angler or it’s your first salt experience, you’re sure to have a great day out on the water with Captain Andy.
Very few areas rival the fishing in the Florida Keys as its grounds are rich with many respectable fish species. The species you will be chasing include: Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Permit, Jack Crevalle, Mangrove Snapper, Pompano, Tripletail, Sheepshead, Cobia, and more. We catch-and-release most fish unless you would like to take home something in slot for dinner and would be happy to filet it for you.
Captain Andy will tailor the trip for the experience you are hoping for…no cookie-cutter trips here! Multi-day trips will explore different areas daily. You can fly fish, use spinning and popping techniques with light tackle or bait or a mix of all to keep it fresh and interesting. You will improve your techniques throughout the day and will leave the trip a better angler.
The watercraft you’ll be fishing from is considered one of the finest flats boats on the market today. The 2022 17’ Maverick HPX-S flats boat. Most of the day you will be fishing in the serenity of the unspoiled wilderness while your guide strategically poles the boat as quietly as possible from the poling platform. This carbon fiber boat is as light as a feather which is essential in the shallowest of flats and narrowest of creeks. It can comfortably accommodate 2 guests -perfect for couples or fishing with your best bud.
Guiding year-round between the Keys and Steamboat, CO Captain Andy skillfully hand ties flies before each trip to insure the most current patterns for your day of fishing. He is grateful to share his passion with you on the water.

A top !% Guide
Captain Andy was one of the most knowledgeable and and zen-like guides I've ever had the pleasure of fishing with. On day 1 he was exceptionally patient with my wife who hasn't fished since she was a child and he put us on several species of fish while sharing has incredible base of knowledge in a very calm and encouraging manner. He also coached my novice fly fishing skills without frustration as I spooked one fish after another with short casts, bad casts and the like while keeping it fun. We ended day 1 with my first bonefish on fly. Day 2 was just he and I as we chased tarpon on the Atlantic side. Again, he put me on many target fish while calmly tolerating my inexperience with fly fishing. I've done several guided fishing trips and Andy is in the top 1% of guides. Whether you are an experienced angler looking for a top guide, or you are novice and looking for a patient, fun and knowledgeable person to take you fishing, Captain Andy is first class and I look forward to fishing with him again.

Great time flats fishing with capt Andy
First time flats fishing in islamorada, me and my wife decided to use a guide to fish these fun but different waters in the back country of the keys. We took a trip into Everglades national park catching snook, bonefish and mangrove snapper. Also seen several tarpon, sharks and stingrays and permit. Having a great and knowledgeable guide is the best way to fish in a place that you are not familiar with. Would highly recommend using captain Andy for your next adventure in the florida keys. We will use him again for sure

Great father son trip!
Had an amazing day on the water with Captain Andy in Islamorada! From start to finish, he put us on the fish and made sure we had a great time. We caught plenty of snapper, landed a big snook, and even hooked into a massive tarpon—though he managed to get away (as the big ones often do!). Andy’s knowledge of the local waters and his ability to find fish made for an unforgettable trip. If you’re looking for a top-notch guide who knows his stuff and keeps the action going, Andy is your guy. Highly recommend and can’t wait to book again!

Fishing with Captain Andy
This is my second trip out with Captain Andy and again a really super experience. I had my 20 something daughter along for the trip initially just to observe and Andy handed her a rod and got her right into it. Needless to say she was thrilled catching snook, mangrove snapper, a barracuda and sea bass. Andy is super knowledgeable not only about fishing Islamorada but also other forms of fly fishing and hunting which makes for great conversation in addition to a day on the water. I will definitely be back again.

Great day on the Flats!
My Son and I had a great day with Capt. Andy working the Flats. Despite windy conditions and a temperature drop, before too long Capt. Andy spotted some snook on the mangrove edge as well as in the open, along with some barracuda. Along with getting some nice snook we caught several mangrove snappers. Along the way Capt. Andy shared his vast knowledge of fishing the Flats, Everglades and several destinations around the country. Hope to get out there again .
