Top Notch Charter
5 Hour Trip PM – Early Spring on May 15, 20254 adults

The Salty Hooker is an excellent charter boat. It checks all the boxes for my wife (clean head etc.) Plus it's immaculate and has plenty of space. Captain Jon is very personable without being overbearing. He made sure that my wife was comfortable throughout the trip. We arrived a little bit late but he still allowed us to fish in the agreed amount time (5 hours). In fact, because fishing was slow (no fault of Jon) I noticed that he gave us a little extra time. When in the area I would definitely look to book his services again.

A nice way to introduce my granddaughter to fishing
4 Hour Seasonal Trip AM on September 19, 20233 adults1 child

We had been looking forward to a fishing trip on the bay for some time to just get on the water but to also create a memorable experience for my 6 year old granddaughter. We read good reviews for this charter so we booked a morning half day trip. The boat was comfortable, easy to access...on the docks right next to the Shanty Restaurant. It had a toilet which came in handy for the little one. The boat was clean, well maintained, and equipped. They had life preservers for children under 12 which they must wear (it's the law). And we were glad we didn't need to buy one ahead of time. Captain John and his son Johnny took us out into the harbor to get everyone acclimated, residual the youngster. We caught a handful of finger sized fish...a few different species as we drifted. We then attempted to travel to to Kiptoke for more serious fishing but the northeasterly breezes made for a serious chop that scared my granddaughter. So the captain turned around and we returned to the calm waters of the harbor for the rest of the trip. He was very accommodating and took his cues from us as to what we were comfortable with. We saw a few dolphins too which was bonus. I checked with my daughter after the trip for her review and she said that they all had a good time and liked that the captain and first mate were so helpful and understanding of how to make the trip a wonderful trip for the young one. Thank you
