High Flying Saltwater Charters is a fishing adventure for people looking for a fun time on the water catching fish with a Capt who truly loves his job of helping make family and friends memories while in Destin.

Capt. Wes will make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Snapper, Mackerel, Amberjack, Triggerfish, and Grouper, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, and jigging.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 24’ Sea born boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat comes with a GPS,  an ice-box, livewells, and a wireless trolling motor.

20 mins free time included for the trips across the bay. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the trip. Im cheaper than the competition because im retired from the military and i want to
make it affordable.

We’ve done the party boat trips before but we really didnt want a crowded boat this time. Captain Wes is very affordable for a private trip! The bite was slow today and he did warn us that the fish weren’t biting like they normally do, but we all still caught fish and it was a blast! I would absolutely recommend him to anybody else looking for smaller private trips that wont break the bank! I will be reaching out to him next time we come down for vacation to go again!

Both Wes and Stephen were great captains. There were 6 of us with the youngest being 3yrd. They put us on fish at the first spot. We caught enough vemillion snapper to have a good meal. Then they took us to another spot and caught some bigger fish. Their boat was clean and comfortable. The kids loved the boat ride and catching fish. They tried to cater to what our expectations were. Captain Wes communication was great. We had such a great time. If we come back we will definitely use this charter again.

We had a wonderful day on the water with captain Wes. He put is onto vermillion, snapper, and trigger fish with a shark thrown in for fun He knows the local waters very well and has several ways to put you on fish. Well equipted boat with everything you need for a great day of fishing

Caught fish from the beginning to the end and several different species. Captain knew right where to go and adapted to the weather conditions perfectly. Very friendly and was awesome to my girlfriend who had nver been on an offshore trip.10 out 10 would go again with captain Wes.

    We all had a fun time fishing with Wes. We hit on almost every spot he took us to. We got a good size grouper, and soaked from waves. Wes communicated efficiently, which is a huge plus, because we had no idea where we were supposed to go. We would definitely use him again.

    With little to no experience, Wes was a great instructor. He baited our lines, let us drop it into the water, and we caught a fish before it reached the bottom. Fish after fish, we had our supper in no time. It was a great Florida fishing experience.

    Captain Wes Ivy was unavailable, so Captain Wayne Alexander from Just Add Water Charters in Niceville stepped in. I told Wayne I hoped for action and variety. Action? Check, 19 fish. Variety? Check, 4 red snappers, 8 vermilion snappers, 4 gray triggerfish, 1 scamp, 1 grunt, and 1 sand perch. We fished out in the Gulf of America/Mexico. I would recommend both High-Flying Saltwater Charters and Just Add Water Charters.

    Took my two boys on a two hour trip with Capt. Wes. We caught fish as fast as we could get the line in the water- grouper, snapper, triggerfish, mostly keepers. We had a blast.

    Although the weather didn’t work with us, the captain did. Wes was able to change our start time which enabled us to fish before the storms hit. We couldn’t catch the big fish we wanted, but Wes did set us up to succeed. Great trip overall!
