High Flying Saltwater Charters is a fishing adventure for people looking for a fun time on the water catching fish with a Capt who truly loves his job of helping make family and friends memories while in Destin.
Capt. Wes and Capt Stephen will make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Snapper, Mackerel, Amberjack, Triggerfish, and Grouper, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, and jigging.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 24' Sea Born boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat comes with a GPS, radar an ice-box, livewells, and a wireless trolling motor.
30 mins free time included for the trips across the bay. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the trip. Im cheaper than the competition because im retired from the military and i want to
make it affordable.

Great Family Fishing Trip

Both Wes and Stephen were great captains. There were 6 of us with the youngest being 3yrd. They put us on fish at the first spot. We caught enough vemillion snapper to have a good meal. Then they took us to another spot and caught some bigger fish. Their boat was clean and comfortable. The kids loved the boat ride and catching fish. They tried to cater to what our expectations were. Captain Wes communication was great. We had such a great time. If we come back we will definitely use this charter again.

This was a wonderful trip and my 3 children from 2 years old to 11 years old had so much fun. They loved learning how to fish and caught about 20 fish. My little one and I enjoyed the boat ride and dolphins! I think people of all ages and experiences would enjoy a trip out on Captain Wes's boat. 2 hours went by fast so you might want to book longer times. My kids can't wait to go back.

Fishing around the weather.

Although the weather didn’t work with us, the captain did. Wes was able to change our start time which enabled us to fish before the storms hit. We couldn’t catch the big fish we wanted, but Wes did set us up to succeed. Great trip overall!

Wes took my boys and me out on an easy ride and put
us on fish immediatley. We couldn’t get the bait on the hooks fast enough. My boys (age 10,9, and 6) said it was the best fishing trip they have ever been on. Highly reccomend this two hour trip for young kids. It was action packed and we caught at least 7 different species in our hour of fishing.

Great trip. Weather wasn’t looking very favorable contacted WES and he let us know what the conditions were going to be and that as long as we didn’t mind getting a little bit wet, we could make it work and he absolutely did.
He was very knowledgeable and just made everything a fun time . Works great with the kids and explaining everything to them and getting us on the fish he also worked with the weather and kept us safe. look forward to booking with him again in the future you won’t be disappointed.
