Western Wilderness Adventures – Kasilof
Western Wilderness Adventures provides a wide variety of fishing opportunities with respectable and knowledgeable guides. Located on the Kasilof river you will have an experience of a lifetime. The owner Alex Chulick has been guiding for over seven years and is quite knowledgeable about drift fishing.
The Kasilof is a drift-only river which means no motors, which provides a relaxing day of fishing without the sounds of motors running. Capt. Alex Chulick has four 20' Willie drift boats that can accommodate up to four people comfortably and five during the sockeye season.
There are many ways to chase after Salmon so whatever style of fishing you want to try, just let Capt. Alex know in advance what you would like to try, so he can make sure you are well-equipped. If there are questions on what styles of fishing work for each species, please send a message inquiring about it.
At the end of each trip, the Captain will fillet your fish for you and put them into bags so you can transport them back to the processor. If you are looking for processors, ask your captain for his recommendations.
Before your trip make sure you have a valid Alaska fishing license and bring snacks and drinks so you can enjoy the spectacular views of the river on a full stomach. Enjoy your fishing trip with Western Wilderness Adventures!

My wife and I booked Alex on June 22nd. Floated the Kasilof 8 hour trip. Limit on Sockeye hooked a King but did not boat it. We had a super time! Alex is knowledgeable and very personable, his knowledge of the river and fish are on another level. He coached my wife up on technique that she outfished me and she does not normally fish. Oh! and his custom boat is very impressive. Alex is The Guy! Book him! Coming back for the Silvers in the fall sometime. Thanks again Alex! - Mitchell and Kay

Awesome time fishing with western wilderness adventures ! Alex and Dallas were extremely knowledgeable and patient . We caught a limit of sockeye and spent some time going after kings. The scenery was amazing, saw some moose and lots of eagles. We are already planning our next trip with Alex!
excellent guide excellent boat. trent went out of his way to get us on fish anglets haven lodge was most accommodating great experience
Great communication with captain. Boat was in great shape. Everything was taken care of and headache free. We had a great boat ride to an area of the river with just a couple people fishing. The run was going on, so we limited out right away. It was a great experience. If and when we come back, we would look at staying at the lodge.
Yall were great! Hope to see you back up here again!

Captain Trent was awesome and we had a great day catching Sockeye on the river. The equipment was in great shape and we limited out early.
